9/6. Do Daa. AMPS 205, +4 200, +7 133, +9.5 130, PMPS 194

Do Daa is looking not too shabby these days! If I squint, particularly without my glasses on, those 205s could be blue :p. Good luck with the increase! Hope you weren't in the worst of the hurricane weather.

No too shabby indeed, tho I still think he likes 1.75u better. Hopefully we'll start to see more Greens soon. I'm kind of thinking about getting some digital calipers for more accurate insulin measurements, but not quite there yet. 1.5u doesn't seem to work quite well enough and 1.75u seems to sometimes work really well, there maybe a point in between that's the sweet spot for him. It's on the list to look at at least. Digital Caliper Information

The vast majority of the hurricane weather past out to sea, thankfully. There hasn't been a real hurricane up here in 30 years.

Tell me about it! Those in betweens are tricky, and when you factor in the quaility discrepancies of the lines on the insulin needles, it gets downright silly. You may very well like dosing with calipers, a lot of people do like them.

Yes, it's a little ridiculous how far off the lines are on the needles sometimes. The .25u increments can be tricky to measure the same each time, but a good bright headlight like this: Thrunite TH20 can help a lot! :)

I have a similar headlight, very useful for seeing that teeny drop of blood for the BG test on a black-eared cat. I think you must have the same issue with Do Daa. It took me a while to realize the blood drop as there, I just couldn't see it! My cheap +2.00 reading glasses also help immensely.

Actually, we have been drawing his blood tests from his paws from the beginning. His pads are switched every test so that his two rear pads get equal treatment. He has not had a single issue with this process the entire time, and the blood is a lot easier to see. I think we tried it a couple of time in his ears, he hated it. The headlight has been invaluable through this entire process so far!

No kidding, that's awesome, and funny I didn't know that all this time! I only tried the paw once with Mav a long, long time ago. He tried to bite me, first time ever in his life. He obviously wasn't a fan.

It is a great help taking his tests from his pads! I think that I've only mentioned it a couple of times since I've been here on the forum, since almost everyone else seems to take the tests from the ears. Do Daa doesn't like his ears messed with. We also have reduced his Zobaline to two times a week and he is doing so much better than when we first started him on it!
