Zener is starting in yellow this morning! He must be celebrating Anne getting home at +6 last night, I mean, 1:30 am. He was hungry and ate a bit and vomited. Bean panicked slightly and re-read D & Baby's condo and the discussion about vomiting. But then he was immediately hungry again and ate an ounce of Turkey Florentine so I gave him his shot. I'm going to check again at +1 to see what's happening.

Kind of a quick drop for +1 which he can do. It's similar to 8/27. I'll be checking him again at +2. He's outside in the back yard enjoying a beautiful morning.

Sienne: yes, he seems fine now. Maybe just being a cat but something didn't agree with him. He's not a gobbler, eating is a struggle for him. Could be he's starting to shed his summer coat although I didn't see any hair, just food.

Looks like an active cycle. Zener is so excited that Anne is home and awake that he decided to drop like a rock. We gave him some high carb food and will check again at 2.5.

Edit +2.5: added +2.5 info. OK, still dropping but maybe slowing down. Will continue to monitor.

Edit +3: added +3 info. Still dropping. Brought out the big guns with semi-soft treats. Will continue to monitor. Just saw him pee and poop while prowling in the yard.

Wow...what a celebration of Anne being home. Great curve here today for Zener. Sorry about the pukus but I'm glad he's feeling ok and enjoying being outside.

Welcome home ANNE!!! Liz did great while you were gone. Hope you had lots of fun.

I think Zener is getting full. He's had 1.5 cans of fud - that's the most ever in the morning so we are very happy about that. He does love those carbs. We will test again in an hour. Looking back, I should have given him the 17% at +1 although the time difference was more like 2 hrs than 1.

Marje: yes, everyone is MUCH happier that Anne is home. Zener's vomit seems to be a one time thing. Anne is adjusting to my new feeding "method", ok "regimen" is a better word but that's my German heritage.

Libby: thanks! It sure is nice to have Anne sharing the poking and planning.

We are going to test again at +6 and feed. If that number is the same or rising, we'll test again at +9 or +10.

Edit +6: Zener is stuffed and now that he's had some high carb fud, he's not interested in his regular ole medium carb. We're going to test at +7 just to make sure he's surfing.

Edit +7: Wow, Zener is still surfing. We opened a can of ProPlan and he liked that. We should go to Vegas.

We are not going to test again until +10. It has been a real poke fest today - what a way to spend the holiday! It's a labor of love. :lol:

Edit +10: looks like he's coming up nicely.

Edit PMPS: still blue! Zener usually bounces after a blue cycle so we will see what the evening brings. Paws crossed for an uneventful cycle so Anne can recover from her jet lag.

Melissa: YES! We are all more calm with Anne home. This morning when I saw those dropping numbers, I wasn't quite so panicked as last Sat night when he had low numbers. Anne was crashed so I didn't want to wake her but I knew that I could. I could actually eat a reasonable meal today too. Plus she did most of the pokes today. She needed the practice. :lol: :lol: Just kidding. She hasn't missed a beat.

Hi everyone! Thanks for all your help to Zener and Liz while I was in Germany. I am back and will be sharing posting duties with Liz while I get readjusted to our time zone. The trip was a good one, and Liz did a GREAT job being "bean in charge"! :YMHUG:

Zener gave me a welcome back blue-green cycle today, so we are expecting bounce behavior tonight. One of us will get up and check mid-cycle. I am still on Germany time, 9 hours ahead of our time, so I will probably wake up in the middle of the night anyway for a few days.

Good to be back home! :-D
