Yesterday's Condo

I suspect this morning's number is a bounce off of the 40s at shot time last night. We are having a lovely holiday morning... cool breeze through the open windows during btb cuddles. Willie's already been out to inspect the yard once this morning. He's in having second breffis at the moment. My sister is coming for dinner tonight and is spending tonight and tomorrow here to catch up on her laundry. Going to try to finish cleaning out the garage today. I have a pile of stuff to get rid of... trying to decide whether to donate it or try to have a garage sale. Leaning towards donation.... much less effort!

Hope all our US LL peeps enjoy their holiday, and that all our non-US friends' weeks are off to a great start!!

looking good there Willie! I so look forward to the days when I an call a 160 number a bounce... :-D Looks like Willie had a great day yesterday. There must have been a conspiracy going on out there last night with the boys... first willie and then Attie, and Mannie... all wanting to go scuba diving... :roll: :lol: I am glad to rad that they are all up some. remember though boys: Green is where it is at.

Happy Labor Day!! Its beautiful in Texas today. My kitties are lounging in the window sills feeling the cool breeze. Great AMPS for Willie! Have a wonderful day!

Not too shabby at all for a bounce for Willy. Enjoy dinner with your sister. I wish my sis lived closer so I could catch up and do use her washer and dryer. I hate our laundry room! Kitty croquet sounds good, says Mags.

Donations are so much easier than garage sales. Willie is lookin' good with his bounce. And already almost green. Have a nice visit with your sister and enjoy the holiday.

Hope you get the garage done and have time to relax before DS comes over. Weren't you fixing dinner for Mr. DMV Sunday night...or was that Saturday and I missed it??? :lol: :lol:

Marjorie, I'm blowing off Mr. DMV. I had invited him to dinner yesterday, he never got back to me, but then texts me last night at 6:30 and is all "wanna do something?" Yes, I would like to do something... read a book, ALONE. :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

So now, my sister will be having the peach and sausage stuffed pork chops with goat cheese and sage, roasted baby potatoes and greens. :-D :-D

Got the car loaded up to take stuff to be donated and the garage cleaned out. i can now fit the car in, but managed to completely bust up my driver's side mirror trying to back in. ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile Down to the last 3 tubs of unpacking, but at least it is organized and out of the way (and could go to the basement if I really wanted it to).

While working, I had the garage door open to enjoy the breeze. Somebody (ahem) kept trying to jail break out the front. I'd tell him no, rather pointedly, and oh my goodness, the catitude I got in return! :shock: :shock: :shock: Managed to avert an ess-cape, however, and Willie settled for time in the backyard. Such a baby!!
 
Such excitement tonight!! DS had just arrived for dinner when Willie came bounding through the kitty door carrying what I assumed was a cicada.

I was wrong.

Instead of hearing a creepy crunching noise of the cicada wings, I looked at Willie and saw little feet frantically moving. For the first time in 15 years, the Dubs caught a mouse. :shock: :shock: :shock: I, of course, screamed. Thankfully, he didn't let it go, so DS grabbed him and threw him into the garage. At that point, he opened his mouth and the mouse pounced on the opportunity to make its ess-cape. Poor Willie. I did my best to praise him for being such a superb specimen of a cat, but I was pretty rattled. the mouse had scurried behind two of the extra trash bins in the garage, so Willie laid in front of them, just waiting for his opportunity, which (thankfully) never came to pass. While I'm a bit weirded out, what with Willie's compromised immune system and all (due to the cyclosporine), I have to say, I'm pretty darned impressed that a 15 year old diabetic cat with a skin condition, no teeth and no front claws could managed to catch and hold onto a mouse.

Mad props to you, Dubs. Mad props.

I am completely impressed with the mouse catch and no teeth! You should be VERY proud! As my dad says, "A cat isn't a cat if it can't do cat-like things...and if it can...it is a healthy cat." Ha! ;-) I guess this is your cat's way of saying thank you for keeping him in health...and you are doing all the right things. Kudos to YOU! :mrgreen:
 
Yo Willie, you done good, man! Mannie and I will come over later to see if the mouse is still hanging out at your place. Maybe we can get Leo to come, too. He's a terrific mauser.
