Good morning LL!

Happy furry purry here last night and today. Tarragon has been very lovey the last few days. Lots of hugs and cuddles anytime you sit down. He supervised breffis again and was intent on trying to get my vitamins. We must be sloppy eaters since he has now decided that is one of his jobs and that he needs to sit between us on the table while we eat. DH says any non cat person would be horrified. Of course that didn't stop him from letting Tarragon drink the last of DH's milk from his bowl. :lol:

Yesterday was 108 and 100 for today. It was lightening on my way in so maybe some rain??? anti-jinx They say it would take 17" to get us out of our drought. I don't see that happening. 79 by Saturday according to the weatherpeople. I hope they are right. It is bad everywhere this year. I think we all are ready for fall. Hopefully Mother Nature agrees.

Morning Melissa, and thank you for my first good laugh of the day :lol: :lol: with Tarragon supervising the breffifs, especially the last part drinking the last of the milk! I used to let my GA Siamese boy on the table, and a friend I had over for coffee and dessert was shocked. She picked him up gently and put him on the floor only to have kitty jump up again by me.
So glad Tarragon is feeling good and all purry and lovey. Sure hope you guys get some rain. The lightening is scary when things are so dry. Have a nice day.

It is the same here. Mannie will supervise dinner... there is that paw that tries so hard to snag a morsel. :lol: :lol: :lol: and you are right: those that are non-cat people would be horrified.... :lol: :lol: :lol: I love Ann's store too. I remember one Thanksgiving years ago where one of my cats decided that my Father-in-laws plate should have been his - and made this leap onto the table to eat his turkey. It was a show stopper. My father-in-law was appalled, removed the cat. removed the fuds from his plate, and reserved. oh HAHAHAHA. of course the kitty made a second attempt. :cool: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Enjoy your day today. A sunny yellow for Mr T. I bet he finds the blues soon. Right Mr T? oh wow on the needed 17". I hope what you do get is some relief.

That's the lovely experience of having cats at home.
But I dont allow my cats on the dinning table because there are so many of them. We wont have the space to eat with them crowded around. When we are not using the dinning table for meal, they jump up & sleep on there but when we have our meal, they will leave us alone.
Come down Tarragon! Yellow is nice but blue is better!

Hi guys .. too funny on these table stories! Our girls have never once shown interest in human foods so it cracks me up to hear of other kitties being interested in turkey and milk :lol: I hope you guys get the rain you need .. we got dumped on yesterday but our lakes in our community are still very very low .. have a great day guys!

I'm glad Tarragon is feeling so well. One of my cats swiped a green bean from my plate one time. He actually ate it and was looking for more. :lol:

Glad Tarragon is happy furry purry! That is too funny about Tarragon finishing the milk :lol: . My Cap'n Crunch cereal is mainly sugar so the milk dregs are forbidden food for Jasper now, much to his dismay. Our house rule is no cat feet on the table when people food is on the table. They sit in the extra chairs and when we have something they like, those telescoping kitty necks can get pretty close. Between meals anything goes, placemat = cat bed and yes, only cat people are allowed into the house.

We have occasional visits to the table too.
But Shadow likes to sit in the booth , at the table, and investigate what we might have that she would desire.
She always shows up for spaghetti and Leseur (sp) peas.
I don't know what's in them, but she loves the juice and some peas too.
And she always shows up for that meal without being told what's for dinner.


Long ago, (before Pot pies were said to be the worst food to eat EVER) I had a cat who would sit next to you , in a position like
Snoopy 's vulture imitation, and wait for you to finish so she could lick the tin. She would eat/lick everything left, including the
peas but she carefully left the peas . They were licked clean. :lol:

When mother in law comes, not a catperson, she always tries to shoo off the cats, they love to go lay on her bed.
After all, she squints at them in disapproval and wins their affection without realizing what she's done. :lol:

So nice to hear Tarragon is feeling well!!! Two nights ago, I had fixed myself some steak and potatoes for dinner. Since Danielle was at work, I was eating on a TV tray in the living room. I forgot something in the next room, left for five minutes, and came back to the steak missing from my plate and Champ sitting on the couch licking every bit of seasoning off it. I couldn't believe he could get the whole piece of meat moved to the couch (it was probably an 8 oz steak). I'm sure he would have eaten it if I had already cut it!!! I called and told Danielle what Champ did, how he licked it all over, and then said I wanted to get off the phone so I could eat my dinner. She says, "What are you going to eat?" I reply, "My steak." Her, "But he licked all over it." Me, "So? Nothing wrong with cat slobber." And it was delicious. I ended up giving Champ some of the steak for one of his mini meals. Nothing like rewarding your pet for being a little sneak!!! Of course, I now have a delightful grease stain on my couch that I need to try to get out!!

BTW...our weather has only been in the low 100's, but our humidity has been so high (for us...right now 37%). I don't know how you stand it!!!! I'll take 115 degree weather with 5% humidity over 100 degrees and 40% humidity any day. Humidity is BRUTAL!!!! Stay hydrated!!

:lol: :lol: :lol: Patty you crack me up! I can just hear Danielle asking you that. Silly Champ. That is a big steak for him to grab so quick, the little sneak. Yes on the humidity. Suddenly "but it's a dry heat" makes sense. I miss you. Thank you for posting! Hugs to you and Danielle and scritches to Champ! Psssst. I hope you are saving up that $$$ for Garth tix for Danielle's 21st later this month. Wish I could be there for it!

What a happy condo today! Sunny yellow start for the happy purry guy and amusing stories about cat thieves. I so agree on the "no cat people in the house", especially for meal times. When we have guests over and are sitting in the dining room, I have to close the pocket doors to the kitchen, especially for turkey dinners. Some people don't understand, cats are very adaptable creatures and in the house have adapted their hunting skills. :lol:

Yuck on the weather Melissa, I hope it breaks for you soon!

I'm soooo glad Danielle didn't ask for tickets to Garth. Just looked it up....the cheapest ticket is $253.00!!!!! I love her, but..... :lol: :lol: :lol:

LOL on the company at the table. We gave up that battle LONG ago...along with every other battle. We're lucky the cats still let us live here, the way they've take over!! I guess that's another good reason to keep refinancing the mortgage...I think they'll let us stay, as long as we pay the bills :lol: !

Yikes on those Garth tickets! Thank God Bruce tickets are only $98...I would be heartbroken if I couldn't afford to see him!

LOve the Tarragon story of the day!! We always give Moonie some of our dinner(chicken, steak, fish no sauces) As if you dont Moonie will STARE YOU DOWN TILL YOU DRY UP & WITHER!!!! @-) :shock: :shock: @-) @-) Now she becomes a Hoover vacuum ariund the kitchen & dining room table in case any food escapes onto the floor!! Both my kitties were always very polite..
Glad T is mproving--Hugs & Love from us!! :mrgreen:

Yep that is a 38. Just when you think you have them figured out. I'm wondering if his heart was raising his BGs. He has been racing down the dosing scale since starting his meds, even with prednisolone on board. Of course we have done this a few times before and ended going back up. Hopefully this one lasts.

Tarragon is on a mission tonight!

I just loved your story about Tarragon on the table! Simon likes to sit right next to me and try to paw the piece of food right off my fork as I am lifting it to my mouth. He knows that I will always give him a little something.

Is it a full moon again? What's with all these low kitties?

Can't believe how hot it is there. I hope Tarragon will keep up his lovey for when the weather gets cool.
