Morning ~O) ~O) need lots today, Michelle! :-D I was really surprised by Maggie's AMPS. I surely missed some greens last night, but I was so tired I could not get up and check Mags. The night before I barely slept, and I think it was the Tylenol that kept me awake. Maggie is always good at eating when low, as she free feeds. I left a healthy portion of Wellness Turkey, and it was almost CPC, not quite but very close! I may have shorted her with the 4 drops, as it was one of those mornings when I practiced and practiced getting it down to 4 even drops, but I don't know! Mags seems okay and I could see her pole toy was slightly moved to another area, so she was playing last night. No poo though and this being the second day, there's still hope that a deposit will come later. Wishing everyone a nice day! I didn't complete everything yesterday, so hopefully I can get out early and finish errands and maybe meet a friend for coffee Maggie numbers permitting.

Beautiful AMPS for Maggie today and what a nice green day yesterday! :mrgreen: Poo vines coming your way until further notice. Come on Maggie! Give up the prezzies for your bean. I think Maggie wants less juice. I hate to see her get too low though, as she gets lethargic and with the other problem she's having, too! My vial is four months old, so evidently still has some kick in it! I just fed her a treat of Beechnut chicken & broth (sneaking in some Miralax, shhhhh)!

Thanks Melissa on Maggie's cycles and for the poo vines. I hope she reads her condo. Right now she's laying on some papers I was reading! I'll leave them there til she's done napping. :-D

Lovely green day for Maggie! Glad that she's feeling great & playing with her pole toy. Really it's the whole cat performance which is more important than a single bg number report.

WOW on that amps! and then that +2! Maggie girl surf well now. You could be right on her wanting less juice. I know too on the low greens. I really think Mannie feels best when he is in the low blues: 100-120.

It is great that Maggie feels good, was playing. It seems that once the prezzie situation was addressed, she starts to feel better, down go the numbers and the juice requirements. Kinda similar to Mannie in a way: we get his teeth done, treat the Giardia, and now the UTI. He feels better, and now his needs have gone down too. GO KITTIES!

Maggie: remember: prezzies, OK?

Hi Ann,

Maggie is looking great today! I think she might want a decrease also. Maybe today she'll go down to the point where she earns it. I hope she poops soon. Great that the toy is getting some play. :razz:

Still surfing. Mags had some Wellness Turkey and went btd! She seems like she doesn't have much energy. I have to think it's the combination Megacolon, meds and lower numbers!

Hi Helen, thanks for your visit. Yes, agree totally on the WCR and just not on the numbers.

Hi Michelle, It really seems similar to what Mannie went thru with the Giardia and UTI. Once they were treated, he seemed to need less juice. I may get another late start. I know the FF T&G would sure bring her up, but I'll wait to see if she comes up on her own.
Thanks for putting that extra talk in for Mags to give me permission to get out this morning. Sometimes she falls into such a deep sleep, I keep tapping her to see if she's okay!

Hi Melanie, would be nice if she did earn a reducie. I think she's ready. Thanks and sure hope on the poop! :lol:

Well, it looks like Maggie isn't going to earn that reducie. I think she deserves a little FF T&G. Yesterday it didn't even cause a spike!

Thanks Lisa and Devon for the visits. Yeah, the non prezzies are always a concern for her. She also seems to be sleeping a lot. I didn't see as a side effect of the Cisapride for the sleepiness, but she acts as if she's had a sleeping pill.

Maggie's numbers are beautiful!

It is so hard to not worry isn't it? I read that megacolon does cause dehydration, but I know nothing about it at all.

As for the sleepiness, I think that I would look up the side effects of all the medicines you are giving her and see if that explains her lethargy. It could even be the combination of two drugs that is causing it. However, Max gets lethargic when his BG is low, and I have had the same experience! He was so deeply asleep once -- he was out cold it seemed. I started to pick him up, and his head lolled back. He was non-responsive. Just as I started to freak, he lifted his head and gave me THE stink-eye with a look that said, "What the H is your problem? I was sleeping quite happily, darn you!"

I think that the fact that Maggie pooped on her own a couple of days ago and has good numbers would cause me to wait for another sign that she needs to see a vet. (Of course, because I wrote that, this will be the one time she'll have something serious that you will wish you had checked out!!! ANTI-JINX) I really do mean it though. I hate for you to spend $ on a visit if it's not necessary, because we know you will spend it on her eventually anyway, and you need it for then!

Thanks Barb on her numbers. I also looked up the side effects, and I didn't see sleepiness either, so I think it's the low numbers or Maggie just being a cat. I did get away for almost an hour and left Missy Maggie some FF T & G, and it just kept her surfing. Normally, it does a spike. I think she is wanting less juice!

Hi Ann!! Maggie's numbers looks great!! Of course, it would be easier to get excited it the girl would just poop already!!! Champ has had days where he just wants to sleep, too. I've learned not to worry because he always seems to get back to normal within a day or two. That being said, no one knows your cat any better than you so stick with your instincts!! They never steer you wrong!!

Hope you've been well. It sounds like you're keeping busy busy!!

Not too shabby, as Maggie had a fair share of FF T&G today. She's much perkier at this number!

Hi Patty and Champ, how nice to have you visit. We have really missed you and Champ. Yes, Mags sure has been keeping me on my toes lately. Thanks for mentioning that Champ also has those sleep all day days! I think they are around the same age. Hope you are well, too, Patty.

Great numbers for our dearest Maggie!!! But Please dear girl, give us some Magical Poo that we are all hoping for!! Moonie gets sleepy in lower numbers, & is sleeping with us right now, but that is just a cat-they sleep a lot of hours!! Keep Being Green --love to see it!! Hugs & love from us!!

Yes, her numbers have greatly improved ever since the two day spa treatment. Sometimes I barely get 3-4 drops, yet she's still having nice numbers. I see now a lot of them get sleepy with lower numbers. The numbers Mags had the past few days weren't that low per se, but were low for Maggie.

Ruby used to get a bit of a spike from FF T&G. I didn't feed it to her when she went OTJ until about 3 weeks ago. Guess what...it doesn't cause a spike anymore!

Amy, I am really surprised the FF T&G does hardly any spike whereas before just a little would cause a rise. I didn't notice any changes on the can where they may have changed the formula?
I guess I'll need to find another FF for help when I need it.
 
Ann, just wanted to stop by and say hi! Looks like Maggie is doing well this evening although I'm sorry to read she is still having some poo issues. Sending lots of healing vines!
