I upped Calley's insulin to 1.5 last night for the first dose. Her bg was lower this morning but then the +6 was higher after having no food since 6am this morning. ??

We are going to the vet tomorrow to see about her getting budesinode.

Because Lantus is a depot insulin, Calley isn't getting the insulin you inject until a day or so later. The 176 isn't from the morning injection of insulin or possibly even last night's dose, but what was stored in her system before then. You'll be looking for evidence of the increase over the next several days.

I hope the vet is open to trying to address the nausea as a symptom of something separate from the diabetes. If not, I would personally be looking at trying another vet since this one frankly doesn't seem to be all that concerned with the symptoms Calley is showing.

This is the second vet I've dealt with. Actually I'm working with both....both did blood work....both have given dose suggestions etc.

Calley's PMPS was high again at 347. Going up instead of following a curve. And she vomited again tonight. It's now almost twice a day she is vomiting. Poor kitty.
