Another good night for Buster! I gave him food + the treats the pharmacy sent with his Bupe at +5 but I guess he just surfed the 50's all night. I expected a higher number this morning, but I'm good with his pretty greenies! I am pondering shaving the dose.

I am terrible at giving the Bupe!! I called the vet to get her input on increasing the dose. As Marje suggested, she thought dosing 3 times a day would be best. So, I need to figure this out. Thanks Wendy, Marje, Carla and Ruth for the tips! Maybe I will try to get him up on an elevated surface instead of on the floor next time. I have the compounded version so I hope it doesn't taste terrible. He certainly isn't very excited about the process so far.

One more dark day til DH comes back from his adventures. Last text from him sounded tired, if that's possible to infer from a text :lol: Hopefully, in a good way. TGIF!!

Nice greens from Buster. You'll get the hang of giving the bupe after a little bit. There are still some times I don't do very well giving it and Callie has to have it 3 times a day. I try to do every 8 hours, but have to adjust for my work schedule. On weekdays, her mid-day dose it longer than 8 hours, but I stick to the same time before bed even if it is less than 8 hours. On the weekend, I can do every 8 hours.

Maybe he is ready for a reducie!!! I hope today was a better bupe administration day :-D
 
Buh-BOING! No reducie yet, I guess. We still don't have the hang of the Bupe dosing. Tonight he zigged when I zagged and I think I got it in his windpipe. Little kitty coughs. I feel so bad :sad: We'll keep trying.
