@GreySnowman oh and yes, you are correct that we feed canned food for breakfast and mid-day snacks (that my wife puts out), but dinner is where I reign supreme.
I bought a small food processor/chopper to dedicate to the process, and a kitchen scale. I then use kitchen shears to cut up the meat into smaller pieces into a mixing bowl on the scale. Once I've got the correct amount in ounces for the batch I make which feeds 7 cats, I then dump the raw meat chunks into my food processor, put in my hearing protection (#$% that thing is LOUD) and use the pulse button a few times. Then I add 4 tablespoons of warm water and puree for like 20 seconds maybe, not sure I've never timed it. I don't make it totally smooth, the kids like some smaller chunks.
After that, I dump the whole thing back into my mixing bowl, add more water and the E-Z Complete powder and mix well. You are supposed to add a certain amount of water based on how much powder you are using it is important to get it right. It is all on the package.
Let me tell you the cats freaking LOVE this stuff. It makes me so happy to make it and feed them, it is very rewarding. They crowd around in the kitchen as I am getting the stuff together to make a batch, there are many meows of anticipation!
