Good morning!

We survived the hurricane - if you can even call it that! Nothing really happened here. A little rain, I heard a little wind for about an hour or two during the night. That was it. We escaped the brunt of it. I think my folks got a lot of wind and rain on the Cape, but it looks like the storm really weakened before it arrived.

Little Miss Emma is back to her normal self after yesterday's pukefest. Poor little thing - she was so miserable. I won't be giving her anymore beef treats. :sad: She was happy and purring on my bed this morning, and very ready for breakfast. She didn't eat most of what I left last night - I think she was just unimpressed with my choice for dinner. She's snacking on her wellness turkey this morning and seems very content with that. She's pretty high with this 323. I was wondering yesterday morning if I may have given her a partial fur shot, but I wasn't sure. I think that may have been the case given her numbers from last night and this morning. Hopefully she'll get back down at least into the yellows and stay down there.

Hope everyone has a fab day! I'm heading out in a while to do breakfast with a friend, and I'll be in and out all day.

I'm glad to hear that Earl petered out without too much of an impact on Boston. My sister is in Boston and is flying out today so it's good to hear that the weather is behaving itself!

What would you think about a dosecrease for Emma? It's been 8 cycles at this dose and there's not much movement. It looks like there's room for an increase to 3.75u.

Gabby doesn't do well with beef. Beef and fish are apparently the flavors that many kitties are allergic to.

There are times that I am glad that Mannie can and will eat anything - I have yet to have anything refused, I wish I could pass that on to other beans that sometimes struggle with what their kitties will eat. I am glad that Emma is feeling better today.

also very glad on Earl - phew... scary things those hurricanes.

HI all -

Well, we have a blue! +5 155 - woo hoo! I was thinking about a dosecrease, Sienne, but do you think I should do it today since I think I gave her a partial fur shot yesterday? Should I wait a little longer to see if she comes down a little further? I'm ok either way - it might be a good idea, since I can be around tomorrow for a while, and most of Monday.

I got her more chicken treats while I was out, and she's happy!

If you can, get a +11 or near there would be a good heads up if needed

she very willingly ate about 1 1/2 tsp of LC...so far so good, but the dogs are very curious as to why I'm giving Emma food from a spoon :smile: they're looking for their special hand feeding service now

You and Emma are much more sophisticated than me.......I just use my fingers to feed Curry when I want to get the food into her quickly. She likes "finger food" I reckon. :mrgreen:

Ok, I'll get a +3 - is it ok if I give her a little more LC? Or should I make it MC? She wanted more when I gave her the last snack.

do you know how she reacts to MC? Does it spike her too much?

If not, there is the option of doing a LC and adding bit of MC to it.

Little snacks thou to help her surf these nice numbers.

we haven't had to do any of this yet, so no I don't really know how she reacts to MC. I can give her a little more LC right now and see how the +3 is before I introduce any MC...

this kitty cracks me up. I bought one of her old favorites for an MC choice (FF trout), and just added a teeny bit of it to the tsp of LC I just gave her. You would think she hadn't eaten in days..she DEVOURED it in 1.5 seconds flat, and now she's trying really hard to figure out where the open can is...silly kitty.

I wish you could all see how hilarious she's being about this can of FF trout. Oh my goodness..I'm sitting on the floor, leaning back on the couch with my laptop in front of me on the coffee table, which is also holding the drug-laden can of trout. She's pacing back and forth on the couch, meowing at me, jumping off the couch, trying to jump on the coffee table, back up on the couch, finally lays down next to me and puts her paw on my shoulder and taps me a few times. I am cracking up here! :lol:

She's 132 @ +6, so I think it's time for me to go to bed. I'll leave her more food, and I'll take the test kit upstairs so I can maybe grab another test during the night.
