Next few days are hectic I'm petsitting for DD. Feed my own crew. Shoot Checkers. Race over to her house, to feed her crew.
Get back here, to be able to test Checkers for morning drops...yeah right *sigh*. Then go back to spend a few hours with her furballs. I'm in cat heaven; she's got 5. :-D

It's cold and gloomy here, so everyone is napping. Lazy feline furries.
Sienne, would you please look at the last response of yesterday? thanks

morning drops...yeah right *sigh*.

Be careful what you wish for! Slow down Checkers, you want to be able to stay down there. Think he's trying to get your attention back to where it belongs, HIM!

Sienne, he gets his shot at 7:30 pm....I used to give dinner at that time.....test, feed, shoot.
But he is hungry long before that.
I've always given him snacks to tide him over until then, but then that will show as spike.
So lately I've been feeding in enough time, so his dinner doesn't affect preshot. He still gets food Immediately after test, and before shot!

Actually, the new way isn't working, 'cause his preshot is always high anyway.

So can you suggest a better schedule and I'll see if I can do it?

First, ECID.

Is there a convenient way to give Checkers a snack at +8 or +9? I generally leave food in the timed feeder during the week and overnight for my guys. I don't have a clue what time they eat unless either I get home early. As Checker's pancreas heals, a little food later in the cycle may cause his pancreas to put out some endogenous insulin and lower the PS numbers. Otherwise, I would do the same routine you do in the morning at night.

How are you providing his meals during the day? (At what + times?) It may be that spreading the food out a bit more may help if Checkers is really hungry. From looking at your SS, it seems like Checkers is dropping pretty quickly early in the cycle. If you start providing mini meals over the first few hours, it may slow the drop. This may have the added benefit of making Checkers less bouncy.

The other thing to consider is whether Checkers has managed to pull one over on you. He meows and you feed. He may have trained you very well.

Nice surfing Checkers!!

Re: 9/4...Checkers amps/385..+3/155

Sienne, you mean, whenever he says "Meow", I'm not supposed to feed?
I can and will, give small snack, insted of meal, at +9.
He gets snack after most tests, 'cause he runs into kitchen and meows at me. Promise of a treat, keeps him coming to the test table. So he really is getting mini meals in the beginning of cycle.

So, with hunger abated from +9 snack, he can wait for dinner until shot time.
I revised the thread I asked you to look at , 'cause I thought i had nerve asking you to schedule our feedings, but you were already typing.
Thank you for the care you show us on this board.

PS: I'll update SS, when I get back to DD's, highspeed.

Re: 9/4...Checkers amps/385..+3/155

Well, this is annoying. I've been trying to get to my SS, from DD's house. i did it yesterday.
She is allowed to edit, but I still need to sign in. Did that yesterday with no problem. Today when I click on sign in icon, it wants to take me to her gmail.
I don't get the chance to even type in a name. Phooey!
SS will have to wait until I get home.

Nice control or the drop. Checkers is The Blue Dude today.

If I am logged on already and go to the login page it just takes me to Google Docs. Try logging out then re-log on.

Re: 9/4...Checkers amps/385..+3/155

Ann, I wrote that from my daughter's house. I was able to log in yesterday, but I unpluged her electronics last night, (with her hubby's permission) because of storm, and today it wouldn't let me log in.

Her Google is tied in with her gmail, so when I tried to log in to Google spreadhseet, it goes to her gmail. I don't want to log in to my DD's email to get to my SS.
She can do it when she gets back.

Re: 9/4...Checkers amps/385..+3/155

HI Barb, You don't have to log in with your daughter's account just because you're using her computer. Simply log in to your own account on her machine, using your own Google password. Google doesn't care what machine you use. There are many people who don't even own computers and who use a different computer every time they log in to something like Google (for example, people who use computers at their public library).
Anyway, I hope you get Checkers' feeding schedule figured out!!! Hope your weather improves, too. Here it's been getting steadily colder all day. We finally had to close the windows!

Ella, I never explain things fully. I could not log in at all. It wouldn't let me sign in, period. Yesterday, I had no problem at her house.
I will get Checks on a better schedule in a few days.
I had the heat on today. It was cold and rainy all day. Gonna go back to 70's next week.....yay!

Nice blue surf for Checkers today. Sounds like you have your hands full with lots of furbabies, Barb. :-D
