C'mon Cairo! You can DO IT! When my vet told me that it was next to impossible to get a diabetic cat regulated with diet only, I refused to accept her answer. Here we are today...DAY 10 OTJ. I have faith my baby girl can beat this

Well, my vet was tickled pink that Cairo is in OTJ trials AND at day 10! She agreed with everything that YOU guys have helped me with and was amazed at the level of expertise, advice and suggestions. Doc felt that Lantus, diet and monitoring were huge contributing factors in getting Cairo OTJ.

I can't express enough thanks to all the amazing, knowledgable (patient :shock: ) people here on this message board. I love you ALL! I hope I can offer others the love and support that you have all given Cairo and I through this "interesting" time in our life!

How fantastic that your vet is pleased! (of course she is! What's not to be happy about?...LOL)

Hopefully she's interested in learning more about how to dose Lantus now and you'll be able to help all her future diabetic kitties by providing her with some "educational materials" like a copy of the food chart, the protocol and the address of the FDMB :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

fantastic! about the vet and about day 10 for Cairo!

There are vets that apparently refer diabetic cat people to this site. Anything that helps a diabetic cat and their people is good in my book. It's a hard diagnosis and everyone needs a hand figuring out how to proceed.

Glad to read that your vet was pleased with where Cairo is at, and hopefully be open to using THIS protocol (and FDMB ) to refer future clients to in light of your success.
