Alex woke me up this morning with a little very early morning pukus but other than that..... he is doing AOK
He is happy to be back on his Levemir. So happy! 'Sometimes a bean just has to do what we has to do' I told him...
and he understood---I think :?
I don't, but as I said yesterday I guess it doesn't matter..it was interesting (to say the least) to see one of the L's seem to have practically no effect at all and the other L have a seemingly "auto-response" with Alex. Especially since they are basically the same. Prior to switching back to Lantus, I did have a phone consultation with a vet at Cornell Feline Heath Center about which of the two she felt might be better for Alex with all of his problems and medications taken into consideration and the bottom line was basically: the medications that Alex are on are all human medications and no research has been done on how they interact in a cat's body with a cat's metabolism-which is totally different than human metabolism, and with each other in a cat's body. So basically...it's hit or miss. But from his ss it looked like Lantus should have worked better on him.....???? I guess the 'Alex' factor can't be taken into consideration unless you KNOW Alex
This was a great experience though and worth the meager amount of money I spent for a consultation that was well over an hour... because other concerns were addressed as well that are also very useful to me. I never would have thought of doing this without FDMB and one of it's members (you know who you are and again I thank you ), which again proves how valuable this community is ♥
Alex is wearing his purry pants today. He had a big breffis and he and Jackson are having their morning nap.
Have a great Caturday and everyone that is going away for the long weekend..BE SAFE!
Me, Alexander The Great and Jackson McBeany will be hanging at home .....
