9/30 Xena #’s down after Fur Shot? AMPS- 160, +1 194

I don’t understand this at all. I know if she has acromegaly that it can make things move around, but that would be a huge coincidence that the day I didn’t give her her full dose. Her numbers went down she hasn’t been at 160 and quite a while, and an hour after eating she was only at 194
Unfortunately, nobody will be here all day until about 10 PM when her shot time is, but she’ll be eating all day and she’s on the upswing. I just really didn’t think I was going to have to worry about her going down not that I really think she’s going to go hypo, but I would like to see the numbers today to be honest with you, there’s nothing I can do about that though
This is just really strange to me. It’s like giving me know baseline that makes any sense to go bye did I miss heard good? Does she want to higher dose? Wouldn’t that make her hypo not bring her numbers up? So many things going through my head.
It’s really messing with me.???

I find that Lantus injections almost act like they are a dose or two behind. You may find she trends a little higher tonight or tomorrow morning.

The other element is, there's no way of knowing how much actually went in during the injection. There could be some depot action, or even some carry over from the previous dose.

Don't read into it, or you'll go nuts!:confused:
 
The Lantus depot is a wonderful thing. The first part of the cycle following a fur shot/reduced dose, etc. can act like you shot the full dose. Even more so with those larger doses. Plus many times you'll find more went in than you thought with a fur shot. And it was the 5th cycle after an increase, often when you'll start to see the dose start to show what it can do.

What did you end up giving this morning? The spreadsheet is blank for the AMPS dose. If you skipped, put Skip or "0" in the dose column, so people know it was deliberate skip and not just a forgotten entry.

With the fur shot + skip or ? dose, the cycle count starts over at this dose. Reminder: Counting Cycles

I didn’t skip any doses. I may have missed the box or not entered the #s yet. I held that dose for 5 cycles after the furshot, and just increased this pm cycle (10/2) to 28
 
A fur shot = a skip from the depot's point of view. You did not hold the 26 units for 6 doses, but rather for a set of 4 cycles, a fur shot, then a set of 5 cycles. Read the post I linked above.

I should have increased after 6 cycles not 5 is what you are saying, correct? I realized thatI only held for 5 after the fact. … This is what you meant, right?
