After almost a month without a fur shot, I appear to have given 2 in a row! My poor Rusty!! He even drank water this morning, something he almost never does!! Hopefully some insulin got in. I won't really know until sometime in the mid-late afternoon because I'll be out on a hike. Edward will be here, but his low vision prevents him from testing. But at least the boys will have a nice day together with warm, sunny weather.

Wishing all of you a good day and sending out healing vines to all kitties and beans who need them,

Ella & Rusty

Re: 9/30 Rusty AMPS 345 Another Fur shot!

Sending tons of positive, no-fur-shot prayers and thoughts to you. Hoping that Rusty doesn't go much higher than this and hopefully comes down on his own. I hope that you try and have a good day. :YMHUG:

Bummer on the fur shots. Rusty will bounce back and be fine. Guys day is just what he needs. Have a great day Ella!!

Well, if it had to happen, a day when you will not be able to test is a good one. Sometimes I think that after a furshot Tess actually seems to start having better numbers than before.

Ugh on the fur shot. I have done that - two in a row. Rusty will get back on track. I hope his shot goes smoothly tonight.

Hope Rusty gets back on track and into some better numbers for you soon.

Hope you had a nice hike today. Have a great evening Ella

Hi again,
It looks like Rusty didn't do too badly today, and this evening the shot got in. So we are hoping for descending numbers tomorrow. The boys had a good day with outdoor time, combings, and chillaxin'. The carpenter was here hoping to finish the little greenhouse extension on the garage. He got the roofing (metal strips) on and he plans to finish the whole thing tomorrow. Fortunately we are still in this spate of good weather. Edward and Rusty worked on sanding and scraping the front steps. We'll be able to put on a coat of colored (green) stain tomorrow.

I had a wonderful hike, if very challenging. We climbed a mountain and then walked along a ridge (ups and downs; rock ledges and woods path) for about 6 1/2 miles. The unmarked trail was very steep in places, but the views of the High Peaks and the autumn color were spectacular. Here's a picture I took.

Pretty tired tonight!! Wishing you all a good evening,

Ella & Rusty

Good news on no fur shot! I've done the multiple in short time frame too. Paws crossed that's it for a while now. I'm sure Rusty will come down a couple floors tonight.

Beautiful picture of your hike. The colours must be close to their peak now.

Rusty - Tess and I are trying new sushi dishes for Miou's party today. Greek Sushi! While Tess is wrestling the octopus, I'm working on lemon marinated sardine sashimi.
