Hi, so my latest concern: I ordered from Mark's Marine in July which is when Lion was diagnosed. It's was the middle of summer here in Florida. When the package arrived it had an indicator that said it had moderate exposure to temperatures over 77. I called and spoke with a pharmacist and they said Lantus is very stable and should be fine. They asked if the liquid was still perfectly clear and I confirmed it was.

Yesterday and today, out of nowhere, Lions numbers are very high. I am now starting worrying about the condition of the Lantus.

Thoughts?

I can't say for sure, but I suspect that the Lantus is fine and Lion just needs a higher dose. (I came to the same conclusion once myself, early on. We'd had a brief power outage and Oberon's numbers went up after that, and I was convinced the Lantus had gone bad. Nope. He was just bouncing after some low numbers.) I see you've just switched over to TR, so that approach may help you get him to a better dose and back into good numbers. Good luck!

The insulin looks okay - going by his numbers. He is probably bouncing from the drops to blues the day before.
Now that you have switched to TR, you can increase doses faster and hold doses where he sees normal numbers.

Hi, but he had a lot more blue numbers on 9/22 and 9/23......and he did not bounce like this.
