His high number is from the vet. He was stressed so they bribed him with food(with my permission) so I was expecting it,

LOVE the new vet. I told them all about mistreatment at last vet and how I was on my own and luckily found you all. Gave description of what I have learned and what our routine is, showed her his spreadsheet, she was very proud of all my hard work. She told me if I was ok with it to keep doing what I was doing, all she asked was on curve day to send them results before altering dosage (I’m good with that but also know that if they disagree they better have good reasons)

She had set up time for blood work and fructamine (sp?) and all that but said I had kept such good record that unless I wanted it she didn’t see the need today because he was healthy and in her words “a different cat” from what was in his records from last vet.

All in all I feel much better with new vet, they listen and care and said I can call any time with questions or concerns. We did have a little scare with a mild reaction to his immunizations so they kept him an extra half hour to observe and made note to give him Benadryl beforehand in the future.

Max had a vaccine reaction as a baby and always needed Benadryl too. I’m so glad you like your new vet and that she approved of your hard work!

It’s weird because he’s never reacted before. I’m so thankful she told me what to watch for as we were half way home when I noticed him panting like a big lab dog. Former vet never asked or even said it’s something that could happen, I had no clue.

Max went limo like a dishrag and seemed to not be able to walk. It was my first night with him and he was just a few pounds. Very scary. I had to go to the ER as I didn’t hav3 a clue what was wrong. With the shot before vaccines it never happened again.

Omg that would have been terrifying:( thankfully Juggie just started rapid breathing and panting. The vet did say if it was anaphylaxis he would have went limp. Thankful it was mild.
