Holy cow guys! Boris has been in the green for two days. TWO SOLID DAYS!

I think we finally solved his erratic BG issue - when we moved into the RV, we went down to 2 litter boxes of crystal litter. He started peeing inappropriately on things last week, so we got a third litter box and filled it with clay litter, which I know for sure he'll use without issue. Since doing that, he's been SO. MUCH. BETTER.

I'm beginning to think this remission might actually hold!

The clay litter tracks everywhere, so it's seriously annoying in a small space, but we will work on reducing tracking as much as possible. Any suggestions? The litter box is a high walled box enclosed in a cabinet, so I'm wondering if some kind of litter trapping mat might help?

Beautiful numbers! Congratulations!!

Honestly, I think you're better off getting a little hand held vac to capture the litter that's tracked. I've tried various litters and have the 'magic litter trapping mat'...it doesn't work...she tracks litter 8-15 feet away...I just have to pick up and shake the darn mat and sweep/vacuum frequently...

I agree with Sue, there is little you can do about the tracking. I do find that the trapping mat helps a little but not 100%

I love seeing Boris in these numbers, I’m so glad he’s adapting to nomadic life so well! Please pop by from time to time to give us some updates on your new and exciting way of life :)

Our living space is 32 feet long, and the clay litter box is in the middle. Sigh.

We brought a Roomba, so we try to run that a couple of times a day. We also have a stick broom that converts to a hand vac, and we run that often as well. Seriously... who the heck needs 2 vacuums in such a small space???

Thanks Amanda! I expect I'll still silently lurk over here... our boys love to throw us curve balls! ;) You were such a big help to me... thank you so much for all your help and encouragement!!!

We just got a Roomba and I am a REAL big fan!! We can schedule it to run whenever which I really love. And also CAT OWNERS need that many vacuums, ESPECIALLY in such a small space :p

I’m glad you’ll be lurking around here! It was my pleasure to help you out, it was so awesome to get to know you and Boris a little bit and I’m so happy he’s having a successful OTJ! Good Luck Melanie :joyful::joyful:
