yes, i will have a couple boxes with their stuffs, one of the box is just the BG testing stuffs

i already printed a copy and dropped it off with some of their stuffs yesterday, but the owner is on vacation and probably hasn't seen it.
the thing is, i will be out of the country and they won't be able to call me. so i gave them @Tricia Cinco(GA) & Harvey 's number too. but unsure if they would call.

so far i haven't got a chance to talk to her in details, she just said, "i was in the veterinary industry for 5 years, i know how to do it" ......... -_- ...........

Do you have like a decent sized box to put all Belle's stuff in? I would tape a copy of the hypo instructions to the box, along with the instructions you want as to testing before every shot and when not to give insulin and when to call you for advice, and feeding what and when. Add Karo to the box with a feeding syringe taped to the side of it, and some (half a dozen or so) cans of high carb food marked "HC" on the top with a black marker all maybe in a separate plastic bag in the far side of the box. Somehow, casually show her how his meter has a memory and you can look back at his past tests (maybe show her with the meter his past several tests). That way she knows you can check the tests done while at the sitter. I hope they are testing. I would have her do a BG test in your presence (just so she knows how Belle is most comfortable, and for your peace of mind) when you drop him off. Tell her to email you or us or call you or us, if there are ANY questions or concerns.

I'll think they'll be fine, Helena. I hope they can have a whole room of the house, and not just cages. I, like your pets, can't wait until you're home again.

I can't remember what you are using for constipation for Belle, but make sure she knows it's important to keep it up daily. I always had the hardest time with J.D. with his constipation issues when at a strange house / litter box, and I found making sure to give him his Miralax BID every day, nipped the problem in the bud. I hope you are as successful.

Have a good trip :bighug:

originally, they said cages, but i asked if i can hv a room (since i can put all 4 together in the same room),
and yes, the room does cost more than cages. i toured the facility (actually mostly the room) yesterday (15 mins), they hv the room there, a room of cages in the back, the cage room is really cramped together.

the facility is remodeled from a regular house, so, the room is like small bedroom size.

Would they be loose in the room? That would concern me because of possible escapes....

Hope all goes well at the boarders. I had a similar experience when boarding George, I just didn't feel they were listening, but it all worked out in the end.

:bighug::bighug::bighug:

the cats would be loose in the room, the chinchillas will be in their cage (i hv to bring their cage).
there is a baby gate at the door of the room, i don't know if they will close the room or leave the door open and just hv the baby gate there

dropped them off there. we did a BG test there. she wanted me to do it to show her how i do it, i did part of it, and asked her to do the rest.

afterward, i hvn't hear back from her about the PM BG test or insulin ....

i texted her, hv not heard back

yea, actually in bed already on my cell phone , early flight tmr , but just wanna make sure belle gets his insulin

I don't know if she understands what AMPS and PMPS is . will u be able to explain to her in an Email tmr ?

I thought you were asleep! I'll fix it on the SS.

It would have helped if Jessica had indicated in her email that that was PMPS....

I'm glad they have so much room and are together and out of cages, and I'm glad Jessica is testing, and emailing with the results.
