I really don't know why Pumbaa is back in his bounce/dive, bounce/dive mode, and why he's been up in the 400's again for his bounces.

I've been so busy with work deadlines the last couple of weeks, and so sleep deprived as well, I really can't make any sense out of his numbers. So if anyone wants to take a look and give me some input, I would appreciate it.

Part of the problem may be the nasty, crappy UltiCare syringes that I've been using. Fortunately, I should be able to afford to order new syringes from ADW this week. The Monojects I had been using were much more accurate than these UltiCares. I also want to try the Terumo's since people seem to love them.

I thought that maybe the Friskies Pate Liver and Chicken (7% KCal from carbs) was a culprit, but he's been getting this since 8/22 and he didn't start bouncing into the reds again until 8/30. And he really has never exhibited any signs of being carb sensitive.

At a skinny 2.50U, he frequently dove down below 50. And when I took him back up to a skinny 2.50U is when he went back to the bouncing/diving, bouncing/diving routine.

I'm perplexed.

I'm wondering if he is one of the super carb sensitive and even a 1 or 2% difference changes up things.

Maybe work out a meal plan with the slightly higher carb foods as the evening feed, since cats can go lower at night?

BJ: As far as I can tell he's not the least bit carb sensitive. If you look on his SS on the far right I list what foods he ate and the %KCal values (protein/fat/carbs). He regularly gets foods ranging anywhere from 4 - 7% KCals from carbs, and that doesn't seem to affect his BG numbers. Plus, he's bounced higher when I haven't given him gravy/honey than he has when he received gravy/honey to stop a dive.
