9/3 Jack: 237@AMPS, day 4 of 7 units

So as we start day 4 of 7 units, I must say I'm disappointed in the dose increase, and in Jack's response so far. Yesterday was a better day of his BG numbers, mostly blue and yellow instead of pink and yellow, but he threw most of his breakfast up about 30 minutes after he ate, and wasn't interested in the additional pate I offered him. I had to rearrange the morning plans because I was afraid to leave the house knowing he had 7 units but not knowing how much breakfast he kept down...not much by the look of it. He went on to gradually climb through the blue zone and at +6 when we had 176 I finally was comfortable meeting my family at my sister's. Not sure why he puked, he's not normally a one-off puker, but does have his bouts. I waited on the cerenia because we are on a strict budget and I figured if he kept vomiting or didn't eat dinner I would give him the dose, but he seemed fine last night, ate a piggy dinner, and is back in the yellow zone this morning.

Mom left so the house is thankfully quiet again. The heat and humidity are back, and we are forecast for a killer heat/humidity wave this coming week, so I've already caved in to the kitty picket line and put the AC on. Maybe that will help them all get over their grumpies, settle back into their normal routine, and give this tired cat momma a break. Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Hi Christine!
Jack had an awesome AM cycle yesterday! Maybe a bit of bounce today?
Hope he starts feeling better and slides down safely today.
I guess summer isn't over yet! Stay cool, girlfriend! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I hope he comes down, and at least he is feeling better. Sly had a foamy puke this morning, I was late getting up, and they Keebler of course ate his and everyone else's food and decided to have a small regurge. I think I need to get up at 4 am like I did for a bit and give everyone some food. 7 hours is a long time without food.

Hope you have a relaxing next few days Christine!!

Oh 4am alarms...I worked a second job for a while that had me on that schedule....Jack actually did really well with it, his body liked 4am and 4pm food and insulin. But, MY body couldn't sustain the schedule, so combined with some other issues with the second job, I ended up having to leave it. I don't miss the work, but with Pumpkin's recent adventures to the ER and now Sage is having issues, I definitely miss the income!!! I'm so sorry your guys are having the pukes....I hope they all start to feel better soon and you don't have to keep that 4am alarm for long. Sending hugs and healing energy....:bighug:
