Happy Caturday on this long Labor Day weekend. Sending out healing vines to Tarragon, Garland, Rocket, and any others who need them today.

Gracie is doing well this morning despite yesterday's dive, low dip, and skyrocket curve. Yuckus. I think that sealed the deal for us that we are moving her to levemir and I'm buying the pens today. As soon as Mike gets home and we are through the long weekend and there are more folks around LL, we'll do the switch. We hope it will flatten her out and stop these dives as the dives result in huge bounces....especially when she goes so low. But she woke up happy, snuggly, and her usual purrbox self. She spent the morning out on the catio while I tended to other cat chores and then she and Tobes hung out with me there while I had breffis. They were on the lizard hunt!! They thought grilled lizard tails might be the perfect appetizer for Attie's party. Uh huh...what-ev-er my darlings!!

I had a rude awakening to Gus doing the cat heaving thing in bed by my head. Luckily I got him to the edge and got my hands under his mouth before he spit up and it was just clear liquid. After I got up, I noticed he was walking with his tail tucked and I thought he had hurt himself so I picked him up and....welll, he must have had a difficult time in the LB with his poo (which explains the pukus) and he had it all over the underside of his tail.
:? :? :roll: :roll: :roll: :YMSIGH: :YMSIGH: So that's how my morning started!! ;-) ;-) Kitty bath in order...he is such a good boy and purred. Done with that and had to change the sheets...but he was much happier which makes me happier. Squeezed in some yoga cuz it's all about the stress relief when Mike is gone :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

I'm off for the day....pedicure in 30 minutes and then I need to go to Bed, Bath, Beyond; Costco for the pens; Home Depot; and maybe Tuesday Morning. Guess I'll grab some lunch out. I'll check back in with you all later but hope you have a grand day.

Good luck with the switch to Levemir, Marje! I know some have switched and with success, and you will have a lot of help here from Levemir Beans. Oh poor Gus baby; sounds like he's recovered. Enjoy your day with all the fun stops. Have a tall coffee on me.

Poor Gus. What a good mamma you are! Our two would never allow a bath without some serious scratching. Hope he feels better soon. Clean sheets are always nice. That is not the way to get them though.

Oh Gracie! What are you doing way up there. Hope the new juice helps!

Have a great time on your errands. Sounds like a busy day! Hey your retired now. Your suppose to do those during the week when everyone is at work!

not sure if i can decide between "poor little gus" and "poor little marje" for waking up that way! either way, yikes on the wake-up call! it's like the sick kid who comes to your bed in the middle of the night, who then throws up on you. :shock: and you wonder why they didn't just go to the bathroom, but it's because they want YOU - at least you woke up before Gus blessed you with it somewhere on your body!

good luck with the levemir switch - hope that gets gracie to stop the zooming she's in love with!

hope you had a nice time running all your errands. there's a home game here today so there's no way i'm going out in the city til everyone clears out! the traffic will be a nightmare!

Wow, purring during a bath? Gus must have been a sailor in a previous life. I agree with Julie, he wanted his mama. Gracie, you need to come down from those pinks. Zener has gotten into the blues (well, into the greens on a human meter!) so you can follow his lead.

Hi Marje, I hope that Lev. will do the trick for Gracie. Rusty was switched to Lev. from Lantus by Phoebe, but I don't know what his cycles were like. In any event, until this recent episode he tends to have pretty even cycles, so I hope Gracie will, too. I trust that you had a good day shopping and running around. Here's to a relaxing evening!

Good luck with the switch to Levemir!! Fingers and paws crossed that it helps flatten Miss Gracie's curve and eliminates all this bouncy business!

Yikes...an "eventful" start to the day for you. Poor Gus!! I always feel so bad when they feel icky.

Good luck with the switch to Lev! I'm curious to see how Gracie does on it.

Good evening friends!! I hope you all had a great day. I got my pedi done (looks lovely), went to Target to see what discount price they could give me for lev with the discount card ...long story of frustration there, grabbed some lunch at Pei Wei, hit Tuesday Morning, BedBathBeyond, Costco and got the lev, ran home, tested Grace (181 :!: :!: :-D ), ran back out to store for cream for my coffee tomorrow, back and did squids, fed cats, did Gracie's routine, made sure my sister made it to Dallas, and whew...now time to test Grace again!!

Ann: I know lots of folks can help...I'm waiting until after the holiday so they'll be around!

Melissa: Hope Tarragon had a good day! Gus is fine...I don't think any of it slowed him down.

Beth: Thanks!! He is fine....sometimes if he's a little constipated, it causes him to do a little pukus and then he's absolutely ok. He has had much to each this morning and this evening.

Julie: "poor little Marje" I think is appropriate because none of it bothered him. Yikes on the kid coming in to throw up on you....luckily I missed that!! And yes I hope the lev stops the zooming on both ends.

Anne: Gussie...not afraid of water. Jumped in the pool when he was a kitten. Scared the pee out of me but he swam a little circle and got out before I could even get over to him :lol: :lol: :lol:

Ella: It would be interesting to see Rusty's SS before lev. He's so nice and even on it....I can only cross all my fingers and toes.

Christie: POOR WILLIE!! :lol: :lol: :lol: Well, I can't throw Gus on the floor because his arthritis is really, really bad.....he'd probably break a leg if I did that. At least he didn't puke on my new carpet! Thanks for the wishes for the lev.

Amy: It's weird...he didn't act like he felt bad....puked up a little clear fluid (probably some acid in his tummy, too), I washed my hands, put him on the floor and he went right for the kitchen to eat!

Well..time to see what kind of night Gracie has in store for me. I was surprised to see her clear this bounce so quickly but I'm very glad.

oh wow... better late that not at all right? So sorry to be so late in visiting... sheshhhh.... the day got away from me, as it always does.

Poor Gus, poor bean, and nice puke catching,. blech, and my hat goes off to you n that one... that and the tail thing, and the bath. Mannie sends his sympathies... as he's in the sink often enough for a butt washing. He wanted to be sure that Gus was not privy to lavender soap - he says that is so in -manly, he will never forgive his bean for using it one day out of desperation, and that it should never grace the likes of fur again.

Crazy busy day you've had there. :-D I love how we all squeeze in our FD routines amongst everything else. And good luck with the Lev. It is a nice pmps for Gracie - looking forward to seeing what she does with it tonight. Providing of course I cans stay awake...
 
The girls are putting their heads together today. Paws crossed that they see that last color tonight.

Hey Michelle, you are not the latest! :oops: Between BTB and working on the patio I didn't get to condos all day.
