9/3 ELIAN - ambg 112 Day 3 OTJ trial; pmbg 84

Hmmmm...... he's getting a little higher with each reading. I'm thinking that's not a great sign but I'm going to think positive! Will feed and retest at +3.

Well I just went back and looked at the first two days - he's actually in acceptable ranges. I'm just waking up and the 112 felt disappointing but I know it's fine. Just hope he finds his wah back into green today.

Seriously, step away from the meter. Leave him be and let Mr. P work. Remember this is just one number - go look at your spreadsheet, see that sea of green! He's doing his job. And this IS a normal number.

You know as well as anyone BG's fluctuate! Let it be and step away from the meter.

I'm away - that was his regular ambg test. And what I read says that if he's in the blue to test again at +3 to make sure it's lower/mr p is working. Am I mistaken?

Of course you can take another test - nobody is going to say don't test.

the thing is you need to not freak out over one number. Cause that is all it is, just one number.

He is doing great. If you look at other kitties SS who went OTJ, you will see that the numbers go up, go down and fluctuate.

No, you're right. If it comes back down, he's doing it himself, and that will help you from a "piece of mind" standpoint. :smile:

If all you got to see was 60s and 70s for his trial, it might get boring. ;-)

Elian is doing great! When Mr.Cat's AMPS was 127 and I said that he may not join Elian in the OTJ trial, you said, "Thanks Jess - but if I'm not mistaken 127 is still in the acceptable range, isn't it? Hope you guys will be joining us!"
It always feels so much more worrisome when it's our cat, but if it's someone else's cat, we are much more calm and relaxed about occasional BG fluctuations.
Just I thought I'd quote you so that you can listen to your calm self. :smile: All is well!

Yes, I must admit that I'm a little trigger-happy with the testing. After all the doting over our diabetic boys, it's hard to stop! But Mr. Cat is so excited, he posed for a new photo! Glad to have an OTJ trial pal!
