Good morning World! Welcome to our home! Yesterday

DAKOTA
AMPS 330

Altho' I'd rather it be blue, that bouncy AMPS is acceptable for sweet boy this morning. At least it's not red and not even high in that stinky pinky. He seems to be feeling well, that Play 'P' is even in place. His newest cute trick - every time he wants a drink, he wants me to give him fresh water. He sits by the bowl and hollers until someone comes to check on him...he then points out that 'yucky' water. After all, it's been sitting in that bowl for at least an hour. Silly boy!

Snowshoe's not doing well - he's still not moving poop thru even with the reglan and daily pumpkin. I'm afraid there's something else stopping it but can't do another vet trip right now, no more dollars for a bit. Please send good thoughts and prayers for him, we all need it.

I changed KT to (GA) in my signature today...that was SO hard....

Dad is about the same - he has good days and bad days but the 'wars' at night haven't happened in a few days. He actually played dominos with Mother for a bit yesterday and added points by himself. Took a while but he did it! His walking ability is about gone but no one is trying to restore it which is truly best for him. He still helps move himself from bed to chair to chair to bed. It takes a couple of people to help keep him balanced but he can do it.

All other fuzzy feetz are doing well.

Thoughts and prayers for everyone needing them.

BIG HUGS to all that visit today,

Bounces! What can we do?? Dakota had a nice blue cycle though, glad to hear he's playful and the 5 p's are in place! So sorry to hear about Snow- how many days has it been with no stool? have you tried a bit of Miralax? Pumpkin and other fiber helps to prevent constipation but not much good if there is hard stool stuck in there. I am keeping you all in my prayers, love to your DF and DM as well. I know it's hard to appreciate those good days with your dad, hugs Lyresa! :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Hi Lyresa! Sorry to hear that Snow is stopped up. Billie was pretty constipated a while back, and I tried pumpkin with no luck. Plain vaseline did the trick for her. The vet said to try feeding her 1/2 teaspoon, although I probably gave a little extra, and she ate it right up. A few hours later, out came the poo. It's only meant to be used as a once or twice kind of thing. Good luck!!! Sending vines for your dad.

Silly Dakota. Fresh has a whole new definition for that lil one! Sending some poo vines for Snow. Hope he can work it out and feel better soon. Maybe try coconut oil?

It was a big step to change your signature line. It doesn't mean you've let go of KT, just that you know he's in a better place. :YMHUG:

Too funny on Dakota and the water. Sasha is exactly the same way. If she doesn't see me fill the water dish, then it must be too old to drink! She used to love drinking directly out of the faucet, but since her amputation can't balance well enough to get down in the sink. I got her a fountain, but apparently, it isn't the same. :YMSIGH:

I agree that some kind of oil might help Snow. A teaspoon of canola oil is what did it for Cinco. I had to give it to him twice, in two separate meals, and we finally got some action. Now he gets baby food squash in his breakfast every day, and we haven't had any more problems (anti-jinx). Sending lots of good poo vines.

I'm glad to hear your DF is having more good days. I'm sure that helps your DM a lot. I continue to keep you all in my prayers.

Hi Lyresa,
We are sorry to hear that Snow is still having stool problems. A hairball remedy might help. Compacted hair can cause a blockage, I believe.

Clear that bounce, Doc! Enjoy your fresh water!

Continuing to keep your parents in our thoughts and prayers. I remember so well how difficult it was for my mother to give 24-hour care to my father for the 10 or so years he struggled with Parkinson's.

Hugs and scritches, healing vines,

Ella & Rusty
