Hi guys, 9/3 Charlie
The queen has started her downward path. Let's see how tonight plays out. I think the two of us will be getting some much needed R&R couch time together, if Charlie gets to a place where she's comfortable with numbers that are not sky high.
It's funny. Always when she's around the 15's (288's in US numbers), she starts cleaning herself and coming out from her hiding spots. Soon, I need someone to drop her a memo that tells her it's not the 16's that make her feel the best, but the 4-5's (90's). She still doesn't get it.
Anyway it's a great sign. Most of the time she's just not herself lately. It's very rewarding to see her hanging out on the couch with me tonight. Makes me get a great big smile on my face.
Our plan for this evening is to curl up with a nice movie (Mary and Max) and try to feel better. If you haven't seen it, you should. It's hysterical, creative and very cute.
One more little story for you about something funny that happened earlier tonight:
I tried to have a cookie to cheer myself up from all this flu stuff. It didn't work very well, and made me feel sick to my stomach again. Around that same time, I went to say goodbye to my partner, who went to the last restaurant week dinner that we had booked with some friends of ours. When I came back to the living room, GUESS WHO had her entire HEAD in the cookie jar? That's right! Charlie gave a new meaning to the word "sugar cat" tonight. Not sure what attracted her to the obsessive compulsive licking of the sugar cookie that was on top. Maybe she's now associating something positive with sweet flavors since she really seemed to like that maple syrup that saved her the other day! No, no, Charlie! You don't get it. We want to avoid carbs!!!
Have a great evening friends (or afternoon for most of you with a different time zone than Europe).
Jill
