Yesterday Neko started out almost the same number and then did a mostly blue surf.

9/28 Recap:
AMPS 79 +2 88 +4 181 +6.5 165 +10 129
PMPS 166 +4 248

When I did the AMPS test today, I kept whispering to her, "how about a nice blue?". Nope, she knew momma had to go out of the house for 4 hours so delivered that green. So Neko lucked out, she got a couple teaspoon topper of HC on top of her regular main meal. She probably would have been OK, but I wasn't going to risk it. Paws crossed she's coming down now that onset is happening. She's currently flaked out on top of of DH who is flaked out on the sofa.

OT: This morning was the regatta held by our rowing club. The forecast was for rain and wind, but the rain mostly held off until we starting folding up the tents at the end. We had to shorten the races for the smaller boats, as the water was quite choppy. The boat I was in did a pretty respectable time for the 5.3 km, given we'd only rowed together as a crew just once. But as per usual after a race, I ache is spots I don't ache after a practice.

Way to work the bean, Neko, and get some HC. You are a clever girl. Now be extra clever and get back to the lagoon. Did you take a hot bath, Wendy? :-D I'm glad the rain held off.

Awww, that explains the +4.5 ;-) Better safe than sorry.
Glad the weather held out for you today
Enjoy the rest of your day Wendy

I don't blame you for giving the HC. I hope Neko will come back down by PMPS. It's nice that the weather cooperated for the regatta.

Yup, better safe than sorry is right.
Time to come down, Neko!

Wendy,

Wow the blues, Greens, and Yellows look great!
Glad you were able to get out on the water!

Yucky flat yellow. In addition to the HC, there was a bubble in the syringe and I was in a rush so the dose might have been a bit short. Oh well, I guess that's why they call feeding HC "aborting the cycle". Next time I might be able to get away with have the amount of HC I fed her.

Wind is picking up, later tonight is supposed to be a howler. Gale force winds. I've spend the day battening the hatches in the garden. Neko just had one foray onto the deck and said that was enough.

@Liz - Neko outsmarted me again. I did a shower, but maybe a hot bath would have been better. One of our crew is a physio and she's shown us some rowing specific exercises which I did but didn't do the warm up ones. Paying the penalty.

@Pam - Neko has a later onset with Levemir so +4.5 is about the highest time, but the HC didn't help. I felt much better leaving the house though.

@Carla - Neko's sort of flat, not sure what's next. :? Regatta was timed perfectly. Rain before and rain after.

@Mariko - Paws crossed she'll slide down tonight after the cycle abort. As long as the weather doesn't scare her. Might be thunder on top of the wind!

@Rich - I'm getting greedy now and want less yellows. The race was good as far as the weather, not sure about tomorrow's practice though. We have a wind warning here.

Wendy,

Just looked at the weather - I see 23MPH tonight!

Thankfully you batten down the hatches! Be safe tonight and tomorrow on the water!
