Yesterday was such a great day for Mannie. Blue and green surf - it was so nice to see. This morning we seem to have bounced some - up to a 344. :sad: : we seem to have a blip on the radar. I hope he can clear it soon. Just not too fast Mannie! Slow and steady, OK?

Normalcy here this morning: he's happy, content. I enjoyed him so this morning - he spent some time helping me get ready, the rest: flat on his back, feet in the air, just begging for belly rubs, so we obliged. Breffis #1, and #2 eaten - another morning where he was looking in his sister's bowl for more. Interior secured, exterior only a glance. Still too dark out there. For now - back to sleeping on his nanners... :-D

We are supposed to be on a streak of good weather here - for a week or more. :shock: Gosh I hope to get some hikes in. Today we will visit friends in Seattle for coffee this afternoon - it will be fun. Cat sit job in the morning. Mannie time for the rest.

Looks like Mannie is already clearing that bounce. And great numbers yesterday! How can you resist those belly rubs? Those kitties know just how to get us to do what they want. :razz:

Come on down, Mannie, Tess is hanging around there and may need a little guidance. Love the belly rubs, I think they know that giving them makes us feel as good getting them does for them. Have a good day out. I have to go write a newsletter. Blech!

Hi all! we have had round two of the belly rubs - funny how he knows what it takes to make me feel better, him too. a few rubs, a few cuddles....

and the blip has vanished - we seem to be getting back on track. YAY!! 187 at +4.

off to take care of my cat-sit kitty! She's a cutie - it's fun to go hang outwith her for a few...

*ahem* Mannie. Rumor has it you taught sweet baby Gracie how to dive.
Now could you please give her some hints on how to feed the curve so she doesn't bounce around like a rubber ball? The great Chef Stu must've taught you a few things about kitty cuisine.

Sweet Baby Gracie's mamabean reinforces that question as Gracie appears to be a diver (thanks, Mannie :lol: :lol: ). Can you help me pls, Michelle? You can see how we feed, when, what % carb we feed on her SS. Thanks!!!!

Michelle...no worries...it can wait until you get back. She has slowed down w/out giving her the 10%. So when you have time, perhaps you, Sienne, and/or Libby can give me preventive measures...figure out a feeding schedule that will stop these radical changes. I looked at Mannie's spreadsheet and it looks like you've really found a system for him that works. Thanks for getting back to me so soon when you have somewhere to be. We'll be around today watching the baby girl.

Mannie: that is some reputation you have out there in LL! Did you in fact teach Gracie how to dive? Why is your bean not surprised! I remember all those parties where you were giving diving lessons, Stu was giving scuba lessons.... the boys at work!

Very happy to oblige Marjorie - I did post on your condo. In general that is what I do - what I wrote there. There are variables as there are with all out kitties, but for the most part it is a decent summary, I hope. If you decide to feed this way remember to do it consistently, even when she starts out with a high number.

ok Mannie! we have a 90 at ps. :shock: this ought to make for an interesting evening... surf this Mannie OK? just not much lower, please... needless-to-say I will be getting a +1...maybe even a +.5.

81 @ +1. i fed Mannie 1 tsp of HC. If history repeats itself this is what I'll need to get him to surf the greens, and slow the drop. I suppose the +2 will let me know if I was right...

93 @ +2. this was fed with the normal LC Mannie would receive at +2. I will probably test again in 30, just to be sure we are surfin'.

Thanks for the wonderful information and look how great Mannie is donig tonight....wow...spectacular. We are working another bounce. But I started
with the feeding plan this afternoon: fed 3% at +8 and now we'll wait until PMPS and give a little; then +1, +2, +3. Then I'll get up at +8 and give her a little.
I hope it works...this bouncing really affects her. She was so spunky and happy yesterday and she's just been really chillin' today. :sad:

I very much appreciate the advice and encouragement. It's comforting to know you were there and managed to manage "it" :lol: :lol: I hope I can figure Gracie
out but I'm just going to start with the approach you, Pat, Eva, et al have given me. Thank you. Extra special hugs to Mannie...I know he misses Stu.

Hi Marjorie - I hope it works for you - the food plan. You may have to tweak it a bit, adjust carbs according to what numbers you have. I have done that a little this evening, just because Mannie has started out low, he does like to dive, and I want to make sure his +1, +2 are not too much of a drop. He is at 78 now, I hope i can get him to surf this with just LC foods. If he hits the 60's the higher carb stuff will come out. Anyways - good luck!

78 @ +2.5, fed an additional LC: 1 tsp. will test again in 30 minutes.

and our humor for the evening: went to give Mannie a little HC, tripped on who knows what - so of course the can goes flying, the HC goes everywhere. It was a race to see who could collect it faster: me with the spoon, or Mannie with his mouth. What a three ring circus! he was so intent upon one spot of gravy that I managed to collect most of it. ohmygod_smile :shock: :o :lol:

Looks like our kitties are keeping us both up today!! Looks like Mannie is doing great so hopefully you can get some sleep soon!! I'm only on my +2 so I've go a ways to go!!

79 @ 5.5 - i call surf, and am headed off to the pillows on the bed. DH will give Mannie some LC at +6 as a precaution, and +9. I hope he surfs this straight thru til morning...
 
well Michelle, here we are again. I was up Monday night and crashed last night at 8pm. Hubz had to get pmps and my early cycle feedings. Thankfully I only have to work a half day tomorrow and if I need to nap, I'll have an opportunity. didn't visit condos today, just made me cry over Stu. So I'm off to see who else is up. later girl.
