Yesterday was..... BLUE DAY in MannieLand. WOOT, WOO HOO, YAY! Rumor has it that the Blue Mannie Group was performing LIVE on Rusty's Porches! It seems that the sounds of blue jammin' was heard from one end of NY to the other.... Way to go Mannie. On a serious note: It was wonderful to see him have an all blue day. WOO HOO! can we repeat this again today Mannie? lubs ya big guy! cat_pet_icon

All is well in MannieLand. :-D :-D Poor Mannie.... DGS and Mannie still are the best of buds..... but.... THE VOICE and THE CHASER have merged into this flying thing on two legs that knows no limits, no volume control, and has no brakes. . :shock: :shock: :? :lol: :lol: So, in self defense he retreated to the basement: his sanctuary until that flying best friend stopped flying. OMG.... When I returned home from dropping DGS off with my DSIL, Mannie was creeping up the stairs, cautiously, looking at every turn... with that look: "Are you sure? It's safe? You looked everywhere? Seriously? You did check, right?" Once reassured that his best buddy had departed he sacked out on the nanners, patiently waiting dinner...Mannie: it's just a phase - it will be over soon, I SWEAR! :shock: This morning we had a great test, feed (YES!!!!!), shoot and clean plate club , purrs and a few cuddles. :cool: Normalcy in MannieLand. :-D

Hey everybody! :shock: We will be so busy! Max's OTJ party, and then the full moon party at Rusty's! I can hardly wait! Max's will be so fun - all kitties are invited to be on the kitchen krew! We gets to go to San Diego! and then the full moon party..... This FULL MOON is a very special one for me…. The Full Harvest Moon party two years ago was the last one where I was able to cook with my mentor, Master Chef Stu, who crossed to the bridge a few days later. So in honor of the greatest LL chef ever, I have Chef Stu’s 2010 menu as our menu for this year’s harvest moon party. It is so fitting that we will have out party this year at Rusty’s barn…

Beverages: Lunar Micro-Brews, Reddened NipTecates, Tuna Flavored Champagne, Moon Juleps
Appetizers: Tuna Dip, Scallop Ceviche, Chopped Chicken Liver Canapés, Deviled Duck Eggs

And completely OT: Here are some photos from my and DGS's adventure yesterday: swimming and a local river - FUN TIMES! Nicholas and I had a great day - swimming was so fun, as it always is. The fish continues to be the fish. :-D We went to Redmond park on the Sammamish River after that, to look for Ducks and just hang out on the River. They have a section that allows for river access, a step tiered thing.He knows it, made a bee line for it (duh!). What was so exceptional as that when he reached the steps, the salmon were flying out of the water - 10 feet in front of him. He was so excited. Jumping up and down excited. These fish were huge - 1.5 to 2 feet. it was just the best thing. I tried to get video, but jumping fish don't perform on cue. haha. I would like to think he will remember this, know he won't. Morning Michelle and thanks on the ~O) ~O) very important necessity to function. Oh my, poor Mannie, you will survive this phase or get used to it. :lol: Mannie is such a good kitty. Those are great pics and what fun with the salmon jumping out of the water. It is hard to catch it on camera. DGS is such a lucky grandbaby to have you take him on these adventures and great memories with all the pics and videos for his family! Hope you get in a hike or shore walk. I am going to start back on my walking, as soon as I grab another coffee.


Hey Mannie, I am so excited as you all are coming to my neck of the woods in San Diego to party for Max's OTJ! I can't wait. Full Moon Party at Rusty's porch, too! Keep on sliding Mannie! Too funny on Mannie creeping slowly up the stairs after DGS was gone. Muffin used to do that, too, but she seems to be getting more used to having the little ones there. She comes out in the evenings now, before they are in bed, and she doesn't automatically run if they come in the room. She does hunker down and watch them, tho, to see whether they're coming for her or not. If they do, boy, she's outta there! :lol: Have a great Caturday Michelle.

Chef Mannie, that is so neat that you put some of Chef Stu's dishes on the full Harvest Moon menu. The menu looks wonderful. And just think, you and the Kitchen Krew can cook for 2 parties today, and you don't have to worry about staying out of the way of the screamer on two fast feet!!

Hi Michelle, Will you get in a hike today? That description of the salmon jumping out of the river yesterday is fantastic. Wow, were you and Nicholas ever lucky to see that! Enjoy the weekend. Looks like the Mannster is coming down nicely. Rusty is at the lagoon!!!!

Hi Ella - well.... Stu's menu had to be there. I so remember that one, for whatever reason. after that party Mannie was on his own. (pssttt Auntie Ella Bean - thanks! and I am so glad that the screamer with two fast feet is HOME ~ Mannie) I will on the hike - but it will be local, by the house here. the better weather day is tomorrow, so Mannie be willing I will go then. We still have severe air issues with areas near the wildfires, but the northern part of the state is OK. I will go there - drive is along one though: the only drawback. AND YES ON THE SALMON!!! that was so cool! so close, and so big! Mannie says he hopes to see Rusty at the lagoon - he sure is trying!

Hi Rhiannon - I do think you may be right. This kid is a mover, so likes to be doing constantly, whether inside or outside. Hey - cool idea on the new nanners... I just may have to do that for him! Looking for those blues today - the Blue Mannie group needs to be at these parties - right Mannie?

Hi Anne - I hope he does keep sliding... I need to test again, but am trying to give him a pokie break, plus I don't want to see a rising number. :lol: :lol: It's funny with Mannie and this stage of DGS's development. They would hag out all the time together, with the nanners, fuds, everything. Now with this chasing thing Mannie has reached his limits. He will wait and see what will go down, and the minute that the feet enter fast mode he splits. :lol: :lol:

So many parties!!!!!! I hope you all had fun at your parties...ate lots of food, laughed lots, and only drank the good stuff!!! :razz:

So glad to see that Mannie came back down to his pretty blue floor tonight! Hope he continues to come down to some pretty green numbers or he can just surf that pretty blue! Sleep well!!!

Hi Wendy - seriously! just 4 points! :roll: :roll: well it is a nice emerald blue color. I hear reports form both parties that the BG is rockin' the house tonight. WOOT! LOL on the emoticons - it's the closest I could find. :-D And thx - he seem to be surfin' and headed up some so we will eave food out, and off to bed for me. I will be back at it soon enough in the morning anyway. SURF Mannie! :-D
