Yesterday's condo

9/28 AMPS=104; +3.75=52; +4.5=77; +6=106
9/28 PMPS=119; +2=88; +4=76; +5.25=88

9/29 AMPS=85; +1=77; +2=67; +3.5=56; +4.5=61; +6.75=85; +10.5=128
9/29 PMPS=130; +2=124; +4.75=108

I made 3 mistakes yesterday.
1. I slept through AM+2 test after going back to bed.
2. I left out the Lantus cartridge on the kitchen counter whole day.
3. I napped past PMPS. Shot abt 1.5hr later.

I was very mad with myself last night that I had to throw away the half full Lantus cartridge and that it's going to take longer to get back to the normal shot time since I was in the process of getting back to the normal shot time by 15 min/shot. :-x
So, I'm going to trust myself to go back to bed this morning, especially her AMPS this morning was a green number!

Lucy is feeling OK, maybe not particularly good, didn't give me a facial this morning.
So far, she ate her 1st breakfast OK by finger-feeding, wasn't too excited about food, but didn't turn her nose away either.
She pooped a small solid stinky poo just before the AMPS.

Maybe because I mixed some probiotic.
I got her to eat in the end.

We understand completely about the appy frustrations - Zener is getting the same way about his squash. :roll:

Her +2 is 67.
I hope she won't drop any further as her appy is not good this morning....

I know how you feel regarding the goof ups....I made a doozy the other night when I shot an hour early because I'd just plain forgotten that I'd stalled that morning. Don't be too hard on yourself...we all screw up now and then.

Lucy has some pretty numbers so far today! Hopefully she won't drop too much more for you

I think she's going to surf now.
Since I missed my precious weekend btb time this morning, I'm going to have a short close-eyes time on the sofa with Lucy.
Even if my eyes stay close longer than I want them to, I'm positively confident I will not sleep through PMPS if I start now. :lol:
I'll do some cleaning and laundry later.....

Sorry about the sleep throughs yesterday. But it looks like Lucy recovered from them nicely. It's great weather to get an afternoon nap in. I've heard of people here leaving their Lantus out for a day, and it not going bad. For people, they recommend keeping it out of the fridge and throwing it out after 28 days. You might have been able to get a bit longer out of it.

Hi Mariko,

We all have days like that! Lucy will survive, don't worry! Bummer about the insulin, but it may still be OK. Give it a try and see (if it hasn't been whisked away yet by the garbage men). In any event, you are fortunate to be able to get Lantus at much lower prices than here in the States.

I hope Lucy will feel like eating tonight. We are sending her some beautiful vines.

Very nice numbers for Lucy!

When you say "cartridge", are you referring to a pen? Those are designed to be left out. Last year, when Hurricane Sandy hit and we were without power for 5 days, Trix's juice was out the entire time - it was fine. Even the vial would be fine for being left out for that short amount of time.

+10.5 is 128, so she didn't have a one-color cycle, Wendy. :smile:

She so far pooped 3 times today..... I think it's not right.
Each one small, so the total volume is not huge.
The first one and second one were solid, and third one in the afternoon was shaped but soft.
No soft enough to call it a pudding poo, just too frequent I think.
Maybe the probiotic is working too well.
I'll skip tonight probiotic, and try once a day from tomorrow.

Thank you for your thoughts about my wasted Lantus.
These are cartridges that fit in a pen, so I did think that it might be OK since people carry it around.
But I know myself.... If her number goes even a little bit high, I would be spending a lot of time going "is it the Lantus, or something else?", and I didn't think you would want to read me going on and on about it for the next few days. :lol:
So I tossed it already, and brought the garbage bag down to the bin, so I would not be tempted to dig it out.
In Canada, we can get 5 cartridges for $100, so $20 per cartridge.
I had used almost half of it, so I only wasted $10, and maybe $10 is worth NOT playing raccoon (digging in the garbage bin) in rain....

Her PM appy is about the same as this morning so far....
She could be just being picky.
She was a lot more interested in the canned tuna I was using to prepare my food.
They will both get a small amount as a desert after finishing all dinner.
