(YUM! I Love coffee!), and Happy First Day of Fall!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! Lola and Bug are very busy resting.... they say they is mega tired... I dunno why, but thye are. I guess all those trips to see Rusty in NYC wore them out..so. well. anyways. Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot espresso, beans from the heart of central Ethiopia. and for my mocha fans: Venti Quad orange and vanilla mocha, laced with orange swirls, topped with chocolate whip, garnished with orange zest, slivered vanilla beans and chocolate swirls....... SWEET!, and perfect for a fall day. OH! No worries, a dollop of orange and vanilla and chocolate and caramel swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, and a chocolate caramel drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! TJ's dunking cookies and Cronuts are along for the ride.
I hope everyone had a great Caturday. Mine was catch up day, and I did get alot done, bills, laundry,shopping, all the fun stuff! I spent the afternoon at my DD's house, watching the boys while my DSIL spent time with some friends, and my DD went to a canning class, at the local farmer's market. It was a nice afternoon. Nicholas and William were true to form, and I enjoyed the time with them. I wish I could say the same about our weather! the rains are/were something awful, one cannot see 100 yards in front of you while on the road: high winds advisory, severe rains advisory (duh) and flood watch (duh there too), power outages. I drove home in that slop. :shock: :shock: hydroplane! not. fun. But what an awesome storm. They say we are due for two more days of this too. sheshhhh. on a good note: my basement, after last falls flooding, is still dry. I guess our expensive drainage system repairs worked.
Last night I went to my son's band's show, at a local spot north of here. It was great to be able to have a venue spot nearby so that I could go. It's been a while since I have been able to attend one. YAY! They played really well. they were the headliners, played last in the venue, a midnight call. :shock: I wondered if I would be able to stay awake, or turn into a pumpkin.... It made for a very late night for me, and a very long day... There may be some need for napping today. :lol: :lol:
Normalcy in MusketeerVille! It was such a quiet day here yesterday for the kitties... or maybe it just seems that way since I was gone for half of it. :shock: :lol: I came home after my visit at the DD's to the welcoming committee - all assumed their places. Elsa supervised, Bug watched from the top of the stairs, and Lola rolled back and forth as she always does. After their greeting they all disappeared, until the clang of dinner dishes and cat fuds cans brought them running. Funny how that works! After dinner they all disappeared again! Sheshhh! What s up with that? I suspect our heavy rains, and the arrival of fall, has activated their snuggle in the beds mode... It has been that way since we officially entered the fall season. I found Elsa curled up on the sofa. Bug was napping on Mannie's old bed. Lola was on one of the office chairs. and so there they all remained... Lola continues to be Lola, and spent alot of the time I was home investigating anything she could. She demolished the grocery store bags in the morning, Who needs cat toys when you have paper bags? :lol: :lol: YUPP! Normalcy in MusketeerVille.

I had hoped to hike today, but well.... the weather report isn't exactly favorable: more rains and winds and flood advisories are on the forecast today. And considering my general lack of sleep, due to the lateness of the hour, well... I strongly suspect that I will stay put today.
