Good Morning World! Welcome to our home! Yesterday

pm+10.5 - 221
AMPS 260

Sir KT is bright and perky this morning most P's already in place. He's wanting grass from outside so I'll bet there's a furball brewing. That AMPS has a bit of food spike in it - the pm+10.5 was high enough that I didn't worry about needing a number without food. I fattened today's 1.5u dose - we'll see what the day brings. It's cloudy, slightly rainy and fairly cool so nice sleeping weather for fuzzy feetz.

Scruffy, our heart kitty, is still plodding along about the same. He's not gaining weight for winter and doubt he will - he'll have his warm room back for winter so lack of fat shouldn't be much of a problem. We've been doing this dance for over 9 months now - I can't tell that he's 'improved' but he hasn't gone further downhill. For an old cat that hasn't had good care his whole life, I actually feel good about how well he's done so far. He even still takes his meds without much of a fuss - sweet baby.

This morning, Pepper spent about half an hour playing with her mouse with Leo sitting in his bed watching. He's played with her peeking around the corner to watch but she's not been brave enough to completely ignore him and play until today. I kept a close eye just in case Leo just couldn't help himself and stay out of the way - he 'crouched' and 'wiggled' but didn't jump down and scare her. I've been leaving them alone together the last few days without worrying - I think they've had a couple of 'spats' but both are respectful of each other....that's all I can ask of them right now. They're working things out well together. I do put Leo out in his separate room at night - last 2 mornings he and Pepper have rubbed noses when he walked in. Schniggles has been good about not butting in too - they both just ignore her until she sits on them...silly pug.

I HAZ A JOB! It's a short one but it's INCOME! I can't work for hours away from home due to DH's illness but really need a bit of extra at times - like now when I need a few pieces of tile to finish the kitchen. The elderly lady 2 houses down needs some work done - laying new linoleum floor in bathroom and hall, cleaning, painting - probably 20-30 hours. The place is close enough that my walkie-talkie's will work keeping me in touch with what's going on here - all DH has to do is key the mike twice and I'll come running, it 'pops' when he keys. I won't worry nearly as much.

I've now got the tile for our new backsplash in the kitchen!! HERE is a pic from Lowe's website. I still have to find the edge pieces but can't buy them until after I finish the above 'job'! The edges will all be plain (aka 'cheap') but I got 6 glass/stone mixed tiles to inset that are just BEAUTIFUL! 2 of them were broken in places I didn't NEED so got 2 of them for the price of 1. I've already got the mortar, mastik and floats from a past job few years ago.

BIG HUGS to all that visit today! We celebrate Max's OTJ today!!!

Yes, nice WCR's on everyone. Congratulations on the job and sounds perfect with the hours and how close to home. Have a nice weekend. I saw the tile, and it is from a store in San Diego?
