Happy Friday!

Now that you stopped in to check out the header, turns out it's really 'one and a half' nifty FD tricks-
(this is SOOO As Seen On TV..." BUT WAIT!! IF YOU ORDER IN THE NEXT 10 MINUTES-WE'LL SEND YOU TWO FOR THE PRICE OF ONE!!!)

These epiphanies came to me in a happy collision of 10 days sleep deprivation & three Vodka Tonics-
which put me in a hallucinogenic trance not unlike those achieved by a Shaman using peyote to go on a Vision Quest.

the first tip only applies if you are a verbose, social bean like myself. :-D
If you are long-winded & enjoy checking in on everyone...
but find yourself experiencing diminished mental acuity and manual dexterity:
make YOUR condo brief, and then visit others!

I'm not exaggerating when I tell you that it was taking me 10-15 minutes to get thru just a simple post :o
This causes me some concern about my QOL as i age :-D

NOW- the actually really cool trick I twigged to last night.
(and if y'all are already doing it and i just didn't know, i'll be embarrassed ;-) )

an enhancement to get rid of air bubbles clinging to the syringe plunger-
flicking the plunger with your fingernail?..yes...but:

grasp the syringe barrel between thumb & forefinger, hold it vertically (needle upward, of course)
and place the edge of the plunger's thumbrest lightly against your countertop edge, then flick the side
facing you.
magic! it dispatches the bubbles right to the top of the barrel!

all 5 p's present for Beanie Butt...

and look!! I now have time to haunt your condos!!! :-D :-D

Nice AMPS, again! The Binkster is back!

Uh, Celi? That was short? :?  Kewl trick though! :-D

Re: 9/29 Binks amps 99 and 2 nifty FD tricks

Ummmm.... Celi, you know it's only Thursday right? Glad Binksy is doing well today and you are better?

Re: 9/29 Binks amps 99 and 2 nifty FD tricks

I am for sure trying that trick because I have a frickin miniscule bubble that insists of clinging to the rubber stopper of the syringe every time!!!

I love visiting your condo, not just to see how Binks is doing.... though he is the most important part!!! It's because of your use of the English language. I've always have an extensive vocabulary and it's nice to see someone else who either a) reads a lot and picks up on lesser used words or, b) someone who does a lot of crossword puzzles!!! I fall into both categories. When I was very young, my mom used to go to the library and check out 10 books at a time. By the age of nine or ten, I was reading all her books, too. You would NOT believe how I pronounced some words (still do sometimes) because I had only read them and had never heard them spoken. Compromise was com promise, impotent was im potent. I could go on, but why embarrass myself?!! I still say mag netta instead of magenta, because I just can't get my mind around it!!

And you're funny as H.E.double hockey sticks!!

Have a great day!!

fed him 8% here.

    COOL!!! I was just given the gift of an extra day this week!

 Ann...i'm still in a halfwit state of mind.
it was shorter when I pictured it before actually typing it

Marjorie- flick the plunger...
actually the edge of the thumbrest as the other edge is braced against a vertical surface like the edge of a counter.
Where is MJ with her cool diagrams when we need her?

and Patty...too funny!

One side of my family educators, the other ranchers. My grandmother was an English teacher- but i too, read words i hadn't heard spoken.
My famous mispronunciation is appropriate to the forum...
until i was 12 yrs old...i thought "feline" was pronounced "fay-leen"

   That actually made me lol!!! I remembered another one....omni potent. What's so funny is that I would use these words in sentences correctly, but misprounce the word so I looked like a pretentious idiot!!!

Well I always knew to flick the syringe for air bubbles but hoding it against the counter is a new one for me. Thanks for that tip. I will be trying it too!

Binks has some pretty numbers!

Ok, I am pretty much an idiot because I can't visualize what you are saying about getting rid of the air bubble. I always flick it but I am not understanding the countertop part. I need a visual!

It seems like these epiphanies come at the expense of being disoriented as to the date. No matter. It made me giggle.

I'm right there with ya Georgia!

The English language has many pitfalls.

Binks looks great.

Why do you have to rest the plunger on the countertop? Does it absorb energy from the surface? Do you do this before or after the 3 vodka martinis? Does it have to be a countertop, or will a table do?

Ella

Hey Celi :-D

Thanks for the tips! :-D I'll definitely need to try that flicking thing - I always get that stupid mini-bubble

Nice numbers on Binks - he's running quite the sweet surf for you

Happy Thursday Night! (altho, it is MY Friday) :-D  dancing_cat drinking24
