Good luck with the boarding. I have been worried about you finding a pet sitter. I hope they will test at the boarding facility.
Thanks for getting the before bed tests recently. Those will help to get a hint at what his blood sugar does during the night.

the person i talked to was Jessica , she said she does but the other caretaker doesn't .

she said she was on vacation n didn't talk much . about that .

Do you think they would be open to contacting someone on the Board if they have a question and can't reach you? You may give them my number if you want, as an emergency contact.

I put ur contact n Carla's email on the note
she still doesn't want to talk until drop off

..... I m feeling really uncomfortable that she doesn't communicate much

the phone call n her texts were mostly about pricing (info she asked about so she can figure pricing) n that she was telling me she doesn't hv the staff available to do in home care for the pets.

I'm sure you're pretty stressed about the whole thing, Helena. I know it doesn't do much good for me to tell you that it will all work out okay, but based on my own experiences with less than ideal caregivers, I'd say it really will be alright. Just give them all the info you can, and remember that her business depends on making her clients happy, so it's in her best interest to do all she can.

Do you have like a decent sized box to put all Belle's stuff in? I would tape a copy of the hypo instructions to the box, along with the instructions you want as to testing before every shot and when not to give insulin and when to call you for advice, and feeding what and when. Add Karo to the box with a feeding syringe taped to the side of it, and some (half a dozen or so) cans of high carb food marked "HC" on the top with a black marker all maybe in a separate plastic bag in the far side of the box. Somehow, casually show her how his meter has a memory and you can look back at his past tests (maybe show her with the meter his past several tests). That way she knows you can check the tests done while at the sitter. I hope they are testing. I would have her do a BG test in your presence (just so she knows how Belle is most comfortable, and for your peace of mind) when you drop him off. Tell her to email you or us or call you or us, if there are ANY questions or concerns.
