Good afternoon LL,
Yesterday's condo is here.
Angie and I had a big sleep this morning and once again I missed her nardir. It might have been a strategy on her part but she slept right through third breffies (normally at +3) and didn't wake me up till +6!
Angie has been going deaf and we noticed that she had some anxiety about different things. She would howl if she didn't know where we were. We learnt to stomp in response and she walks to the vibrations and announces mi-ih ("I'm here"). We also realised that she couldn't hear us calling her for food. We read an article about animals going deaf that suggested we teach them sign language while they can still hear a bit and therefore never feel like they don't understand what's going on. We started two gentle touches on her chin with a finger while asking if she want's dinner or breakfast (she knows both those words). The down side of teaching her sign language is now she comes and gives me two gentle taps on the chin when she wants me to wake up and feed her.
She used to wake me by talking but the chin touches is new and I wake with a start.
Julie - thanks for your visit yesterday and for what you said about my Jetzin.
