Well, Good Morning from tired me and bouncy Shasta!

I don't have much time as I have a meeting in 10 minutes (typing from office). I'm guessing this is a little bounce from last night's 44?! Oh well. As for Shasta's 5 P's...we had pee & poop last night and pee this morning (normal sized pool); she was purry this morning (hunger purrs!! ); a little bit of preening after she eats, but not much play. I don't want to say that she's lethargic, but her energy level has been down for the past day/day and a half. The clicking noise that I keep hearing when she walks doesn't happen every step, but it's more frequent now. Joint problems, maybe? She's not limping; she's able to jump up on the ottoman... ????

I have voice lessons until 8pm tonight, so there's just no way I can get her in to the vet's today...and we all know how polite and cooperative my cat is at the vet's! I'm thinking about calling a new vet that may be able to meet me on a Saturday, but I don't know if he'd be able to meet me tomorrow and I'm out of town next Saturday. :YMSIGH: Any thoughts?

Ok, off to my stupid meeting. HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!!!! :-D

Oh, what a day...and I don't necessarily mean that in a good way. Besides the pointless meeting before school this morning, I almost gave myself a heart attack at lunch. I was explaining to my student volunteer about Shasta's low numbers last night and I realized that I never fixed (reprogrammed) Shasta's auto feeder after last night's parent/teacher conference. For the next five minutes, I had a series of mini heart attacks thinking that Shasta hadn't eaten since I fed her at 7:15. I don't know why I got it stuck in my head that because I had changed the first setting, all my other feeder times weren't going to work. I even called my neighbor to see if she could go check on her. Of course, I got her voice mail and when she called me back, she couldn't get to Shasta until 2:30. Needless to say, Shasta was fine and yes, my feeder worked...it was just an hour late. What a day.

She still seems quiet, overall. But she had a small bit of sassiness tonight and we played a bit of chase around the house. I called the new vet that I had received several referrals to and he can't see me until Oct. 13th. SOOOOO...saying my prayers that Shasta is just going through a small funk and lots of prayers that she'll be a perfect angel when she meets the new vet. (wishful thinking  )

Hope everyone is doing well tonight. I have been making several stupid mistakes lately and chalk it up to lack of sleep, so I am going to bed and hoping that I fall back to sleep tomorrow morning after shot times, etc. Sleep well, LL friends!
