Hi everyone,
well, same **** here...it is one of those days that you just want to throw your hands in the air and say "Uncle!"
anyway...I dont undersatand shakes...Ihave a feeling I am giving partial fur shots on some days.,
has anyone every thought that....I just cant explain his numbers!!!!!!
we have some really good days and then some bad days!
I am wondering if maybe the needle is kinda going thru him some by accident
..anyway
hope everyone is well out there and lets just keep smiling! (or try anyway!)

I know what you mean Denise, we'll get some good action down into blues or sometimes green, then high, flat nadirs. Its unpredictable.
I am beginning to wonder with Henry if its partially food allergies, the antibiotic he finished last week or the antibiotic/hydrocortisone ointment I'm still applying twice daily to bumps on his face which are about cleared up. Or could it be the dreaded PZ poop-out? We've been on this bottle since about the first of August. Whatever is going on, this dance is damn hard!
Hang in there, you know Shakes will give you some better numbers, it almost the weekend.
Maybe all kitties need some more of that Richard Simmons workout to bring BGs down

THank you so much for the laugh!
I really needed it tonight!

you k now what is funny, the vet said a couple of weeks ago that shakes had a rash on his chin
now that she told me that. i understand why he is always rubbing his chin on
my hand really hard....wonder if he has an allery too....
could it be the insulin?

I don't know if it could be from insulin or not but that sounds like kitty acne.
I don't know if Shakes rubs and scratches at it but Henry is scratching around his face a lot more, I am sure its allergies to something and the vet thinks so too. I'm trying to save up for the expensive RAST blood test. I think its food allergy and I don't know what he'll eat if he can't eat his Fancy Feast. I will not give him dry.
My mom's cat had same kind of bumps and rubbing and scratching at her face a few years back. Mom had the RAST test done on her and she was allergic to lots of stuff, eggs, corn, wheat, beef, lamb, etc. Only things she wasn't allergic to were chicken, rabbit and tuna. She wouldn't touch the high priced allergy food so mom still feeds her her regular food and treats the bumps when they flare up.
So his Shakes been sweatin' to the oldies tonight before his PMPS?
