The main difference I am aware of is that Levemir onsets and nadirs later than Lantus. Here is a post that goes over the differences: http://www.diabetesclinic.ca/en/diab/2treat/lantus_vs_levemir.htm

I think you just haven't gotten to the purrfect dose for Muffin yet. I know it's hard to be patient, but we like to remind people that dealing with FD is a marathon, not a sprint.

Thanks for the info. Muffin just hasn't made much progress in over 3 months which seems like that is the marathon. We have had many doses up/down but nothing sticks. Our caretaker is leaving and there will be no way to test Muffin consistently starting January which is a big stress and concern for her well being.
