As of the moment I'm unable to but I talked with my spouse and we think doing a dosage cycle of 6 AM - 6 PM would help with that greatly.

Yes, I went ahead and gave her her 0.50u shot and will monitor her tonight. I've got some FF Gravy Lovers and some HC puree treats. I will test her at +2 which will be 11:30 PM EST. I am going to give her 1 tsp of the FF around +1 just as a precaution.

ETA: Should I actually go ahead and give her the tsp of HC wet now?

HC food is not required, she is in perfectly fine numbers, Since this is your lowest preshot, I would suggest to test again at +1 and go from there. Don’t bring out the big guns unless you actually need them, let the numbers guide you instead

No need for gravy lovers, just regular low carb wet pate is good. 191 is well above normal. We save gravy lovers for when they drop below 50

I agree with Kim. First choice is always to feed their usual food, unless there is a drastic drop in BG that needs to be steered, and depending on when that happens in the cycle.. Hoping Molly isn’t super carb sensitive. My Mav would go to the moon with just the smell of the gravy lovers

No worries, you learn along the way I used to post before feeding to see what I should do if I was unsure. Sometimes you have to make a call tho. In this case Molly was still above normal and higher than PMPS so low carb is the way to go. I might have even waited until +2 to feed because she was trending up. Stick with the forum and you’ll learn the ins and outs of feeding the number

She’s doing great! I’m so glad you started testing, look at these numbers you’ve caught already… yesterday’s AM cycle especially!
