Happy Saturday!

Yesterday's condo

9/27 AMPS=113; +2=97; +7.75=142
9/27 PMPS=119; +2=88; +4=68; +6.25=83

9/28 AMPS=104; +3.75=52; +4.5=77; +6=106
9/28 PMPS=119; +2=88; +4=76; +5.25=88

I completely slept through her +2 test and breakfast!
Lucy finally woke me up by gently licking my hand at +3.75.
I'm glad she did because she was 52.

Lucy seems to be feeling good today.
Her appetite was good, but she doesn't want to eat by herself.
She asked to be finger-fed.
I think it's the stuffy nose that's bothering her.
Even with finger-feeding, I have to make a small ball with food and let it lightly sit on my finger, so when Lucy takes a lick, it will get easily transferred to her tongue.
If I carelessly smear some food on my finger, and if she has to work to lick it off, she'll get annoyed and give up eating.
I think this is all because of her nose being partially stuffed, and I think it affects her breathing if she has to work hard to eat.
And I think that's why she doesn't want to eat by herself.

She had a solid but very stinky poo right before AMPS.
Her poops haven't been really normal, too often or too soft though not too bad.
I wonder if she might be reacting to the beef in Allerplex.
I hope not because I am really hoping this will help her with her stuffy nose (she's been on Allerplex for 2 weeks now, too soon to decide if working or not), but I think I'm going to hold it for a few days and see if her bowel movement will change.

I ordered a jar of Vetoquinol Viralys (L-Lysine) Power through the vet, and I'm going to try this to see if it helps after the Allerplex experiment.
I don't know what exactly is causing her stuffy nose.... could be allergy, could be minor chronic URI, could be feline herpes....

Sorry it's long again.
I can never make her condo compact.
Always so much I want to say, even if I'm just talking to myself.....

I hope everyone's having a nice weekend!

She's a smart girl to wake you up like that when she needed food ;-)
I hope the stuffy nose improves.

Hi Mariko! Those are still some pretty decent numbers, and she must be feeling better, despite the stuffy nose.
I give my cats these lysine chews, as they won't touch the powder.
I have some of these as well, have you tried them? The Amazapet seemed to help River's breathing. I know that there's the general argument that homeopathy = quackery, but I'll try anything that works, and cats don't have a placebo effect. ;-)
Best of luck for unstuffing Lucy's nose.

Nice +3.75 there today. Smart kitty.

Seems to be a lot of sleeping through the rain with kitties going on today. Sending unstuffing vines for poor Lucy's nose.

I have the same problem with condos of my own, I go on and on...talking to myself   I'm glad Lucy is feeling ok today, some nice greens  I hope the stuffy nose improves soon! Have a nice evening :-D

Re: 9/28 Lucy PMPS=119

Well, I am so incredibly mad with my self.
I was going to close my eyes for 30mins, but I didn't wake up for like 2.5hrs.
So I had to shoot her 1hr 15min later than my planned time.
I thought I set my alarm but I got AM/PM wrong.

On top of that, I found the Lantus on the kitchen counter.
Since it was there since this morning, and the apartment temp is pretty warm with the heaters on, I had to throw away half full Lantus cartridge.

Lucy and Ginger sensed I was angry (not with them of course, but they don't know why I'm angry) so they both retreated in the bedroom.
And I am very sad now.

Re: 9/28 Lucy PMPS=119;+2=88

I feel a little bit better after some condo visiting and watching Gizmo's video like 10 times.
But I still haven't forgiven my self!!! :-x

So far, Lucy's PM numbers are exactly same as yesterday's PM number. Funny.

I forgot to say earlier (too upset), but thank you, Lara, for your suggestion.
I don't think Lucy will go for the Lysine chews, but if the powder fails, I may try it.
I will keep the PetAlive products in mind.
I haven't tried them before. It's nice to have some options.
