All right. First two cycles back at the new dose of 8.0U and things look pretty great. Jenks snapped right back following the PM BCS dose on 9/26 and spent part of yesterday and all of last night in the lagoon. It looked like it might be touch & go at midcycle, but instead he began a slow rise into AMPS. He gave us a beautiful opening number. He ate well. All signs and behaviors seem optimal. So I'm pushing forward with another full dose, hoping that we don't see a repeat of that very early precipitous drop on the morning of the 26th.

Whaddya know? This actually looks like a real, normal Lantus cycle. Picture perfect day for Mr. Jenks. Officially 24 hours in the green, but it's really more like 4 days if we ignore that brief stint into the high 100s from the BCS shot the other day.

Jenks is heading in the right direction, but slowly. It's +9, and I really can't risk a low start to the morning. I'm opting to give him some gravy (but no karo) just to see if we can help him along. Tonight's dip into the low 40s has me re-evaluating the morning dose. We're only 4 cycles in at 8.0U, but he's already signalling that it may still be too much. I'm considering 7.5U, but if he's already carrying a full depot around, it may not make a difference. Decisions decisions...
