Well..shes lost another 4 ounces in 10 days with pred and appy stim on board. She's eaten pretty good but just not keeping the weight on. :( I don't know what to do. How long can she keep it up and not do her organs harm by not keeping the nutrients? How long does she have at this rate? I hate cancer. I'm so torn. Thank you everyone for the vines. Now I just wait for the vet to call about the bw panel.
 
I was going through the same with my hyper t cat, she was loosing and loosing was down to 6lbs I started giving her weruva cats in the kitchen cat food and she has gained .5lbs I'm trying to keep up with her metabolism

Seems to me, from reading Miss P's condos that she is still having asignificant number of good days, I know it's hard when we are worrying about our babies, take it one day at a time, enjoy the good days. You are doing all you possibly can for her.
I don't always comment on the condo, but I look in on you whenever I'm on the board,.my vines and prayers are always with you.:bighug::bighug::bighug:
 
How many calories a day is she getting? You might want to see if you can find higher calorie food so she gets more calories for the same amount of food. Weruva is usually lower calorie, except for a couple of options.

I agree with Gill. They are allowed a few off days, just keep going until they are the minority. Look at the things Miss P likes to do, is she still doing them?
 
So sorry you’re going thought this! I didn’t realize phoebe had cancer :( love her name by the way, I know it’s frim “Friends” and I LOVE that show. I think i know every word of every episode (seriously). Hugs and vines for you and your baby. :bighug:

It does sound like she's still getting pleasure out of life. I know how hard it is, though, when you're worried about what's to come.

I'm glad the subject of Phoebe's toaster came up yesterday--I'd missed when you posted about that earlier in the month. Loved hearing her croon her sweet nothings to it.
 
Ok so vet called. Her blood work was a little encouraging. Her Wbc went from 33000 to 27000. RBC 7.8 to 8.7. We are going to continue with what we are doing. So there's a little color thru the clouds. She said she's not to worried about her weight yet, unless it continues to decrease. We are getting the pred pills tomorrow. And she wants to research the "pulsed" dosing. I will post the rest of her bw tomorrow, it's been a very emotional day. You beans are the best. I truly mean it. If she could Phoebe would say the same. So THANK YOU.
 
Sending more hugs your way. It is a horrible thing to watch them waste away. But it sounds like your vet still has some more things to try. Sending weight gaining vines to sweet Phoebe.
