Good Morning LL! Fattened the dose this morning. :YMSIGH: One week after that incredible double cycle last Monday. I don't know why she went up and stayed up after that. The weather is still hot and windy today, that is having an effect I'm sure.

WCR All 5 Ps , but mom is too tired to play as usual. Tess has to make do with her nanner.

all the kitties here really seem to really enjoy their nanners.....

enjoy the day today and tess come down a level today....yellow is awfully bright and blue is for you.

agreed on the feeling - it's been a good one this time for Mannie, but remember all too well the ones that were not. She will get back there. I just never quite understand why one can have such phenomenal numbers one week, and then they are gone. I hope that all she needs is a shot in the arm, and then will return to the numbers we all know Tess for. I am glad that you have fattened her dose. Good luck!

i feel stumped most of the time Ann. I don't understand why Checks comes down at night...when he comes down, that is. :roll:

Well Sienne, I kept telling myself that the last several days, but tonight it seems to be true. :-D

Sorry to disappear this morning. Between the heat, total exhaustion and having to up Tess to a dose she hasn't had since her first month on Lantus.... I just wasn't up to being positive.

Good luck with the dosecrease. I know you've heard this before, but sometimes you have to go up to come down. Come Tess, stop worrying your bean.

Hey Ann - know how you feel - Mannie is at the highest he ever was when we were at 3.5, and within one cycle of doing 3.75 - never had that dose before. It's hard to remain positive then, it was for me. Kept telling myself sometime you have to go up in order to go down. A friend who also has a diabetic kitty was almost to trial, only to have to go way back up - it was so depressing for her - they were so close. Now she is back to almost trial status again. who knows why they do what they do. What worked one day doesn't the next. such a dance they have us on. Tess will be fine - she will come around.

I hear you on the exhaustion - I am there too - totally understand that one too. I sure hope it cools done there soon for you. We are at 75 today - go figure on that one - 75 in the PNW in September? unreal!

Looks like Tess is having a great night! back to a low blue, no doubt she will be green again tonight. GO TESS!

Tess usually does not react to an increase like this, usually there are several days of wonkiness. Just gave her the second half of dinner #2of 11%. Checking again in half an hour.

I know 'go up , to come down', doesn't make it any easier. And right now I'm wondering if I jumped the gun. 46 this soon? Really Tess? ohmygod_smile

wow on the 46 - i wish I could answer the question. would she have dropped like this if you waited? I dunno. Mannie did this to me the other night - looking at a 41 at +3. scary when you think that there still are 3 hours til nadir, well for his nadir. we went on to +7 that night. I wish you luck Ann - it no doubt be a bit of a night for you. Wish I could help you out. I do know you've been there before, you know what to do - she'll be fine.

I'd say have a nice glass of wine,but i suppose that you'll want a clear head. so water on ice instead - and some human snacks - rest when you can.

And Tess - down low enough - up you go now. OK?

Hang in there, girlie. Tess just needed a bit of jump-start and these numbers this evening have to make you feel very encouraged. It was just a week ago that you guys strung together all those good numbers and you were missing out on all that sleep and I'm sending you all my mental energy in hopes that you'll be sleepless again real soon. :razz:

Tess took her own sweet time with her last snack, 8%, so I'm waiting another half hour as she just finished. Tess's nadir is usually about +4 so she should be leveling off soon.

Shadow just tested at 54, so I'm around too. the good thing for me - Shadow nadirs early, so if I can bring her up pretty quick, I'm gonna head to bed.

DH tested at +9 and got 70. Fed the last snack which Tess finally ate. So she is doing well, and I am off to bed, too :mrgreen:
