PMPS 419

Today is kind of a head scratcher for me. Last night I tested Sarge at about 1AM and he was at 205 at +5.5. In the past if he was going to go low he has done it by this point so this is my safety check before bed. This morning he was at 300. Not too shabby for one of his mornings right now. Tonight's PMPS looks like a bounce. My spot tests were close enough together that I doubt he went low today. I didn't think he did last night. Am I wrong? I am really not sure where that 419 is coming from.

I did some looking but I can't figure out how to turn the previous day's condo into a link. Can someone help me out?

Hi Alison! (It's so nice to know your name now. :-D)

I did some looking but I can't figure out how to turn the previous day's condo into a link. Can someone help me out?

Your link worked when I clicked on it. Were you wanting to know how to rename the link?

No insights from me on the numbers, although I've always been told that bouncing can be caused by fast drops, not just low numbers. So even if kitty fell quickly from pink to yellow, for example, that could still cause a bounce.

Hopefully me bumping up your post will help get some more experienced eyes on the numbers. Also, you might go back and edit your first post and click on the "?" icon. That will help get some more eyes on your questions, too.

Sarge, let's turn around these numbers, please.

Hi Alison

I'm not sure I've posted on one of Sarge's condos before but.....hmmm.. You both seem familiar :-D ;-)

You have two day cycles and one night cycle without any mid cycle tests or any other test between preshots so Sarge had ample time to drop lower somewhere. I've seen cats go from 300 to 40 and back to 300 in one cycle and without the mid cycle test, we'd have never known it. If you work, even an out the door and/or in the door test helps and a before bed test at night is super.

Bounced can take up to six cycles to clear. Sometimes before they do, we think they might be clearing but then we see a really high number like Sarge's 419. It'd possiblr that is then"high before the break" so you might want to br sure and grab a test some other time tonight.

Shelly is also right that a fast drop or any number they aren't used to...even blue...can trigger a bounce.

Thanks for the insight. So the 419 could be bounce from the low last week, it could be from a fast drop or there could have been a drop Friday that I missed. I think this up coming week will be better for mid-cycle tests. Actually, I will probably be home waiting for the garage door guy tomorrow afternoon. Man, when those springs break it sounds like something blew up!!

Not from last week. From some time within the last six cycles. :-D

Hi Alison,

Our garage door broke last week, too! Maybe it's a conspiracy.

We were glad to get it fixed before the snow flies, though.

Have a good night,

Georgette and Clare
