My heart is breaking for you also. Even though we know it's for the best, it is never easy. She knew she was loved very much. I'm glad that you got to spend that last day with her and showered her with all her favorite things. I know you will miss her very very much. I hope remembering the joy that she brought to your lives will help you through your grief.

I am so incredibly saddened to read this.... and so very very sorry. I had hoped to return home today to read how the day went - this just breaks my heart. I know you guys did all you could for Teddi - she could not have asked for better beans, you did all and then some for her. I do know in my heart that you did give her he best possible gift today by helping her cross. She is eternally grateful for that gift. I hope in time the grief and sadness that you feel now will be replaced by the happy memories of all that she gave you over the years. Do know that she is watching over you, thanking you for it all. I just don't have words. I'm so, so, so sorry you didn't have more time with Teddi. I know it was difficult for you to let her go so soon, but she told you it was time and I'm glad you were strong enough to help her.

Im so very sorry to hear this news. I was hoping, as we all were, for you all to have a little more time.
Teddi was blessed to have you on her side.
 
We thank each and every one of you for your wonderful words of comfort, for lighting a candle for Teddi to guide her way, for your love and support, and for your sharing of our grief. This is such an incredible family and we know each of you feels our pain and sorrow. We will never be able to thank you enough for all you have given us in the past year but esp in the past few days....your love and caring will get us through.

Please hug your babies ever so tightly and have a toast to our girl. We had an incredible sunset tonight with the most glorious pink light on the mountains....I know it was in honor of her and her crossing the RB to join the other GAs.

I've tried writing to you a half dozen times since I heard about your precious Teddi. Words aren't coming. I've been filled with an incredible sadness and heartbreak for you. Knowing both of you through the many conversations we've had... the loss of Teddi is cutting away to your very core. I am so, so sorry. If it brings you any solace, you lovingly gave your dear sweet Teddi the ultimate and unselfish gift by letting her cross the Rainbow Bridge where she won't experience any pain or suffering.

I have not been here very much but did see your first post about Teddi and have been checking in to look for updates. I was so sad to see this post. I am so sorry for your loss.
I wish I had more words but I don't know what to say. I hope you take comfort in knowing that Teddi is not suffering and she is pain free.

Jill: thank you for the lovely words and poem. This morning has been particularly hard for me. Yesterday, I was in shock and doing what I had to do. Today, it has hit me full throttle. I looked on the calendar and on yesterday, Mike had put Teddi's name and a heart. Whenever we wrote her name, we always put a heart dot for the "i". I just can't believe she is gone.....I know her spirit is here but I just want to hold that tiny soft body.

Miriam: we've missed you so thank you for giving us your condolences.

Thank you to everyone. This is going to be a tough day.....
 
ah marjorie, we understand. there is no easy way through it. you just keep taking one step after another, one day at a time, and eventually the grief gets easier to bear. hugs from me.
 
Oh gosh Marje, I'm so so sorry about Teddi. We all know you did the kindest thing by letting her go, but I imagine you want to hold her close for just one more hug, one more day... oh I wish I could help you heal but that will be something that comes slowly over much time. Although Teddi is free from pain, you and Mike are not. Please know I'm sending you my heartfelt hugs and understanding. I really wish my friends would never feel such sadness.... but unfortunately that cannot be. You loved strong and feel the loss so greatly.
