Yesterday was a mostly yellow day with a blip to pink after breakfast and a slide down to blue in the middle of the night.

I was still up at last night's +6, taking inventory and pictures of china to take into consignment today. 10 less boxes of estate stuff in our wRECk room - yeah! One day the cats will be allowed back in that room, which is my goal. Neko loves sleeping on DH's office shelf, but has to go through the rec room to get there. The office shelf has a heating vent that blows warm air onto it, so it's a fav in the winter. No furnace on yet, but soon. So far the solarium is doing a fine job heating the house during the day, one of the reason the cats love it.

After this morning's +3, Neko was outside until about +6.5. She is loving being outside these days, in spite of the neighbour 2 doors down with the mini backhoe doing landscaping. Normally a noise like that is enough to scare her into hiding. But today she was trying out different bushes to hide under (I could see them all from inside), lying on the front lawn, then the back yard lawn. I had to drag her inside when I went out at +6.5 for a bit.

Sounds like Neko is getting those last days yard enjoyment before the weather starts really changing. Gotta stop and smell those roses
while they are blooming....

Hope Neko can hold onto the blue and stay there!!

What the heck caused that? I suspect there was a small snack of bread in there. DH came home from the island, and we had bags on the floor in the entrance hall while unloading the car. Neko quickly narrowed in on the bag with the food, and DH caught her with teeth in the plastic surrounding a loaf of bread. There is a small hole in the bread. ohmygod_smile :YMSIGH: I had so hoped she would do something with that mid cycle blue. She even went out again with me this afternoon and almost caught a squirrel!

@Rhiannon - it was just a quick touch down on blue today. Neko does seem to be taking advantage of the weather while we have it. I'm going to get complaints when it changes. :lol:

Bread? My civie, Mullet will do that too. He'll tear open a bag of hamburger buns and sample them.

Me: "Mullet, what is WRONG with you? It's BREAD!"
Mullet: "Um, Dad, what is wrong with YOU? There's no MEAT in the middle like there's supposed to be!"

They do things like this just because they can. :-D

Shadow does that too. She'll bite thru a bag if something smells yummy and inviting. Bread is a big attraction.

She was always great entertainment before FD when we would bring in a new bag of dry food.
she'd find it , sit on it, and if it wasn't offered to her asap, she'd rip the bag open for a sample.

Our first sign that Neko had something wrong with her before her Dx last year was excessive hunger. There were two separate incidents with banana bread (ripping off the foil wrapping), and muffins (chewing open plastic ziploc). Some kitties just love carbs! And acrocats LOVE their food. The snack tonight was much smaller but was around +11.

Blech. Come on down from there, Neko. I'm sending Zener over with the ropes. What a great day outside. And you are so brave to be out there with that loud machinery. :-D

@Liz - ropes would be much appreciated. We need long ones tonight! I was really impressed Neko didn't run into her regular hidey holes. I guess she is feeling better and braver - until the numbers tonight that is. :lol:
 
Hmm, sorry about those high numbers... Neko, Sweety, be good for mummy and come down from there nice and easy!
