WOO HOO!!!! IT IS FRIDAY FURDAY! :-D :-D :-D I hope everyone had a great day yesterday. We did well here. The weather, after an early morning fog, was SO NICE (our one sunny day) that I knew we had to make it an outdoor day for the boys, and what better place than on a river. It was sunny, a beautiful fall day here at home. I lvoe the river ona sunny fall day. There is something magical about sunlight on a river, one that is nested in the mountains, surrounded by vistas and trees and fall colors. Here's what I wrote in last night's post about the day: "Hi everyone! I hope your day has been a good one! Ours was just fantastic! The weather was wonderful: a sunny fall day, not one spec of rain, and we made maybe 55. I ended up taking the boys to the river, the weather there was perfect for a river trip. We ended up on the Snoqualmie today near the twin falls trailhead. I like that section of the river. it has the feel of remote, works really well for Nicholas, and there were spots for William too. No people there today, at least not where we were. so we did the normal things Nicholas likes to do, he was really into exploring today, telling his little bro what things were (some of the time) and for a while there I thought he'd haul him into the river. lol. it was fun for Nicholas - got to do all the fun stuff, wade into the river as much as he wanted, toss as much as he wanted. William fit right in. I had him on a sandy section for a while, sheshhh he was looking at everything. it was great, reminded me of Nicholas when he was that age. There is a RR museum in the town of Snoqualmie, so we stopped there on the way home. We've been there a few times before. Nicholas really likes it becasue he can get up close to the trains, touch then, explore their undersides, get the feel for them. It's a great place for little kids that love trains. He was so funny - told me as we were leaving that we had to have another lunch on the picnic table in the gazebo. He wanted William to be able to do that. too funny, and very sweet. It was a very nice day for the boys. We had a great time. " Picassa links: Snoqualmie River and Snoqualmie Railway Station

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!!   With such good weather Elsa was more than insistent that she spend the afternoon out on her deck, so I let her. She was a good girl, stayed there with only one yard excursion to make sure all was well, check the perimeter, and then back onto the deck. I remember writing about this the last time we had a sunny day, but... It's funny and great that she follows the same route that Mannie did. I wondered last week, think this week... perhaps he has asked her to make sure all is well in NannerVille, that small suburb of MannieLand. ;-) And Lola and bug.... oh well... time for extra marathon runs yesterday it seems. It was non stop.   I especially enjoy the 3AM ones. I came home yesterday to the welcoming committee. I so love the welcoming committee! I also came home to one plant upheaval. Guess Lola wanted to remind me who truly runs things arounf here.  Yupp! Normalcy in MusketeerVille! cat_pet_icon

Have a great day everyone! Nicholas and William are with me again today. It will be a swim day for Nicholas, in the afternoon. My DD, who has a few half work days left, will be up in the afternoon to watch William so Nicholas and I can go to the pool. With the weather being questionable this morning, I'm not too sure what we will fill the morning hours with. Might be the Science Center if the rains are bad enough.... I will try and get to condos when I can.

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN!! cat_pet_icon

It sounds like you had such a wonderful day yesterday - hooray for the sun. Oh, Lola....she knows what she's doing! She waits till you get comfortable, then she throws something exciting your way. She doesn't want you to get bored!

Have a great day with the boys, Michelle!

What a great day. So sweet the way Nicholas wants to share all those special moments with William. He is such a great big brother.

Nice on the welcoming committee. :-D Even with the plant. Silly Lola has to let you know who the boss is. I love the way Elsa is outside, watching over everything that Mannie used to be in charge of. Makes your heart feel good.

Have a great day Michelle!

Morning Amy ~O) ~O) ~O) THX, we really did have a good one yesterday - fun at all levels, two happy boys. That is so true on Lola, She keeps things on the upswing, makes life interesting. It's always such fun to come home and find what she got into that day.   THX on today - will do!

Morning Melissa ~O) ~O) ~O) THX, yesterday was great. I so agree on Nicholas - he really is the best big brother: Likes to help. wants to share, it is all so nice. I think so too on Elsa - she really seems to be doing that: keeping what was, making sure. It does make the heart feel good. oh my on Lola.... love this kitty! never ever a dull moment. She rules the roost here, when Elsa will let her, or decides Lola is crazy and goes to take a nap... ;-)

Hi Michelle, wow what a great day for Nicholas and William, and great with the weather, too. Nicholas looks like he is really taking it all in and love the pics of Nicholas checking on William. They are lucky grandbabies to have you let them experience so many great adventures. Great pics and keepsakes of their adventures. Have a great one today and a lot of fun. So neat the way Elsa follows Mannie's pattern of outdoor deck time and a yard excursion.
Elsa, thanks as I sure need my 10 hour energy coffee and triple espressos fix today, always the best. Lola and bug, I'll take three of your extra special triple cheese pizzas, thanks and love ya.

Autumn weather in the woods is the best! You have such wonderful places to take the boys! John i jealous of the train museum!

Everyone needs a Lola! Emma is the same for us, she comes to us and just makes us laugh, even if she can be a little pain to catch! Enjoy!

That's so neat Nicholas wants to show William all of the places he likes to go and the thing he does. It will be really fun when William gets old enough to explore on his own.

Silly Lola. She's got to keep things interesting.

That is cool Elsa follows Mannie's path on yard patrol. It's nice to know she's keeping an eye on Nannerville.

Hi Michelle,
Your day sounds great. Ni.cholas had his swim time and William got in lots oF quali.ty time with his grammie, his mom, and his big brother. It is wonderful how Nicholas takes such care to play with William and to introduce him to all of the things he loves.

The kitties sound like they are adjusting to the turn of the seasons. When a good, sunny day arrives, Elsa heads outside to enjoy it. Elsa, those NYC deliveries were greatly appreciated.

Have a great weekend, Michelle. I hope you get in some good hikes and some good rest, too!

Ella & Rusty

Happy Friday night everyone! I hope your day has been good. My week with the boys is done, for now. I so look forward to an evening of pizza, and kitty time, and maybe good book. It has been a great week, loved every minute of it, but boy AM I TIRED!   Today was a good day for both boys: The Pacific Science Center, and swimming in the afternoon. It has been a good day today. We did the science center today, as I knew I could get through that in time to make the set pool time I had with my DD. It worked out great. Each time we go there now, to the PSC, Nicholas finds more things to interact with. It is really nice! It was a bummer though today that the butterfly house was closed (no clue why), and about 90% of the outdoor water stuff was broken, or shut down. There were a few things on the wellness section also down for repairs... oh well, he made do with what he had, loved it. Nicholas has taken well to the afternoon swim time slot, loves the river portion. It's been good to go at this time as it opens new areas for him to explore and learn in. Erin made it to watch William, so of course Nicholas had to show off for mom. He was one proud little boy. We did alot of river stuff today, tons of underwater, and i'll be damned if he didn't "swim" the whole length of that river on his own, some big arms, some doggie paddle: such determination. it was funny - he had to go and tell his mom he had. He was so such excited! He had a really good day in the pool. It was an hour and a half for him: dealing with that current in the river. and the energy level he was operating on. I so bet he crashed n the ride home.... It was a good day for all. Tonight he is off to a Mariner's Game with mom, dad and little bro. They have a fireworks show set for sometime during or after the game. I wonder if he can stay awake to see it. LOL. I will post the Picassa links on tomorrow's condo.

Hi Ann- :-D THX! It really was. :-D The weather was so great! It was so nice to have all that sun! :-D :-D :-D Nicholas loves to care for William, it is kinda cool. Thank you so much for your comments, I love caring for them. THX on the pics, and today. it was a good one today. I think so too on Elsa. :-D
Auntie Ann - YOU GOTS IT! I will bring lots. Lola and Bug are all ready too! They made you extra BIG ones! LOVES YOU TOO!~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista

Hi Ann, and Miss Tess :-D I SO AGREE on autumn weather in the woods. it is my favorite time to be out hiking. THX too: We are lucky here, we do have so many great places to go. John would love those trains! They have a few steam engines, and section with very old trains. They all need work, but it is so cool to see the trains of years gone by. I think so too: everyone needs a Lola, or an Emma. It is all such fun, she makes me smile all the time. Funny on the catching. Lola is the same way... can't catch her either.

Hi Carla :-D I love it when Nicholas wants to show William all these things he does, or tells him about places when we are in route. I can hardly wait until William is more mobile. WHAT FUN AWAITS! A big yes on Lola    I am hapy to see Elsa taking on the yard patrol. it's good for her, her way of missing Mannie. There are still times when I think she really does.

Hi Ella :-D The day was great - loved it, perfect! I s agree on Nicholas and William - it is wodnerful how he shows little bro things, gives him hugs, etc. The swim ting with Nicholas William and my DMIL is working out well for everyone. :-D :-D Yes on the kitties, and I have no doubt on Elsa. She loves the sun as much as Mannie did. THX on the weekend - I plan on doing just that. YAY!
Auntie Ella - you are so welcomes. I had Mannie's directions so I knew where to find you in the big city. I see you tomorrow too! ~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista
