I hope everyone had a great day yesterday. We did well here. The weather, after an early morning fog, was SO NICE (our one sunny day) that I knew we had to make it an outdoor day for the boys, and what better place than on a river. It was sunny, a beautiful fall day here at home. I lvoe the river ona sunny fall day. There is something magical about sunlight on a river, one that is nested in the mountains, surrounded by vistas and trees and fall colors. Here's what I wrote in last night's post about the day: "Hi everyone! I hope your day has been a good one! Ours was just fantastic! The weather was wonderful: a sunny fall day, not one spec of rain, and we made maybe 55. I ended up taking the boys to the river, the weather there was perfect for a river trip. We ended up on the Snoqualmie today near the twin falls trailhead. I like that section of the river. it has the feel of remote, works really well for Nicholas, and there were spots for William too. No people there today, at least not where we were. so we did the normal things Nicholas likes to do, he was really into exploring today, telling his little bro what things were (some of the time) and for a while there I thought he'd haul him into the river. lol. it was fun for Nicholas - got to do all the fun stuff, wade into the river as much as he wanted, toss as much as he wanted. William fit right in. I had him on a sandy section for a while, sheshhh he was looking at everything. it was great, reminded me of Nicholas when he was that age. There is a RR museum in the town of Snoqualmie, so we stopped there on the way home. We've been there a few times before. Nicholas really likes it becasue he can get up close to the trains, touch then, explore their undersides, get the feel for them. It's a great place for little kids that love trains. He was so funny - told me as we were leaving that we had to have another lunch on the picnic table in the gazebo. He wanted William to be able to do that. too funny, and very sweet. It was a very nice day for the boys. We had a great time. " Picassa links: Snoqualmie River and Snoqualmie Railway Station

With such good weather Elsa was more than insistent that she spend the afternoon out on her deck, so I let her. She was a good girl, stayed there with only one yard excursion to make sure all was well, check the perimeter, and then back onto the deck. I remember writing about this the last time we had a sunny day, but... It's funny and great that she follows the same route that Mannie did. I wondered last week, think this week... perhaps he has asked her to make sure all is well in NannerVille, that small suburb of MannieLand. ;-) And Lola and bug.... oh well... time for extra marathon runs yesterday it seems. It was non stop.   I especially enjoy the 3AM ones. I came home yesterday to the welcoming committee. I so love the welcoming committee! I also came home to one plant upheaval. Guess Lola wanted to remind me who truly runs things arounf here.  Yupp! Normalcy in MusketeerVille! cat_pet_icon
Have a great day everyone! Nicholas and William are with me again today. It will be a swim day for Nicholas, in the afternoon. My DD, who has a few half work days left, will be up in the afternoon to watch William so Nicholas and I can go to the pool. With the weather being questionable this morning, I'm not too sure what we will fill the morning hours with. Might be the Science Center if the rains are bad enough.... I will try and get to condos when I can.
