Happy Caturday, LL! ~O)

I was thoroughly chastised the last time I posted for not providing more frequent Jersey updates, so I'm trying to do better. It’s been about a month since the last post – http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=124425. Jersey is still doing well, and her last bg reading (this morning) was 77. More importantly, though, you’ll all be happy to know that my precious little devil is still plotting my demise. Some recent “to do” list items:

  • 1. Cause the human a stress-induced mental breakdown. When the human rudely pokes me for the weekly bg check, I will throw a “high” number in the 70s. She will then worry incessantly about the numbers. Is it the new test strips? The hairball I tried to hack up? A loss of remission? I, of course, know the answer, but I ain’t tellin’…which will cause the aforementioned mental breakdown. I understand that the higher numbers will lead to more frequent poking. That, however, will give me more opportunities to rip the poking device out of her hands and use it to puncture a vital artery.

    2. Irritate the male human in the hopes that he will finish off the female human. Knowing that I deserve to be fed at 3:30 each morning, I will jump on the male human’s chest, make biscuits, and drool on him as he sleeps. He will attempt to ignore me but will eventually get up to feed me. This will cause him to be grouchy for the rest of the day, which increases the probability that he will kill the female human. At the very least, he will be more likely to pick a fight with the female human, thus distracting her from poking me.

(DH – remember when you tried to steal the morning pokey worm from me during our OTJ trial? Just consider this your payback. HA….ha, ha, ha.)

    3. Send the human to prison. When the delivery men come in to set up the new bedroom suite, I will hide behind the mattress that is leaning against the wall. As they are working, I will barrel out from behind the mattress, acting like I am terrified and am attempting to escape the room. This is all an act, since I am really just trying to give the delivery men heart attacks. The police will assume that the human killed them, and she will be sent to prison. If this plan fails, then at least I will have left long gouge marks in the wood floor to serve as a reminder to the human that I will eventually succeed in bringing her down.

    4. Get the human fired. As the human is getting ready to leave for work in the morning, I will shoot out of the litter box. As I do my mad dash through the house, I will drop a dingle on the human’s shoe sitting by the door. Since the human only has one pair of brown shoes that match the brown dress she is wearing, she will have to change her outfit before work, thus making her late and causing her to be fired. (That’s a phone call you never want to have to make: “Um, I’m running a little late for work. My cat pooped on my shoe.”) If she isn’t fired, then perhaps the embarrassment alone will finish her off.

Lots of thoughts and prayers are going out to those in need. There are so many kitties, beans, and beans’ family members who need them right now that I won’t even begin to name names; I’m sure I would accidentally omit someone. Just know that I’m thinking about all of you! :YMHUG:

Ah, I miss your condos Shelly it's such a laugh. Maybe not so funny to the humans who are experiencing dire threats all the time, LOL. I'm so glad that Jersey is doing well in green:) I love the image (although yuk) of explaining being late for work because you changed since you had you know what on your shoe!

Hugs to you, and scritches to Jersey. Have a great weekend! (PS, I love the pic of Jersey, so cute!)

Yayyyyy! A Jersey condo, and it isn't even throw back Thursday!

You need to post once in a while, Shelly, so we'll know Jersey has not yet succeeded in her nefarious plots!

she's a conniving one! I'm glad you've survived all of her plotting . . . who ever heard of Death by Dingles?! ;-)

It's good to see a Jersey condo! :-D

  Shelly, it's so good to read your condos- that's like chicken soup for the soul! I'm very relieved to see Jersey hasn't been the end of you yet- but be very very afwaid! I apparently blinked and missed your last condo- so how is the little Minnie doing? We want an update!!

Hi Shelly,

Nice to see you have your sense of humor left. A little twisted perhaps but intact!

Good to know that Jersey is doing well.

There are WAY too many images when you Google "plotting cat". :o It is true, they are out to get you. So glad to hear from you Shelly and Jersey hasn't gotten you yet.

Thanks for the visits, everyone. (Rachel, it's really good to hear from you. I hope all is going well. :YMHUG: )

I'm going to start a petition to make Jersey's pic the only one that shows up when you do a search. Ann's pic was almost perfect - we just need to throw a little white on that kitty. The claws in the pic were perfect, though; those claws haunt me every time I close my eyes at night.

Oh, Julie, believe me, it never even occurred to me that such a thing existed until a Tuesday morning about 2 weeks ago. Now I can absolutely see how it could occur.

Minnie has settled in nicely; she now hisses back at Jersey. (Thanks, Jerz. Appreciate the lessons you have taught the little one. :YMSIGH: ) She has also learned that batting around the nanner, on the bed, in the middle of the night, is the funnest game ever. (I blame you for that toy, Wendy.) Of course, then she wants to sleep on my lap while I'm working at the computer. Ya know - 'cuz she's just so darned tuckered out from her late-night frolicking. And she insists on belly rubs, which is actually pretty sweet. cat_pet_icon

Thanks again for checking in on us. I'm glad that I could amuse you all with the evil that is my cat. (What's really sad is that I don't make any of this stuff up. This is actually my life. ohmygod_smile )

Mike and I are gasping for air after laughing so hard at Jersey's second way to plot your demise. Of course, they are all very funny and I can see the "precious" one (ok...that might be a bit too sweeeeeet for Jersye girl) focusing on murder...of some sort.

Have you seen this cat speaking French to his "human"? It's very funny.

Jersey...Gracie here. I think you are overthinking the plotting. All you gotta do is run in front of the hooman when she is walking and when she tries to cut left to avoid you, cut right ...right smack in front her. She ought to take a good fall with that one!!! You can also intertwine yourself between her legs and purr up a storm. Hooman cannot avoid you. Be sure you look up at her and bat those eyes, purr, etc.

Hi Shelly,

Thanks for the visit and the kind words. I didn't expect to be so well entertained when I visited you in return!

Gracie coaching Jersey (both cats are in disguise)

BWAHAHAHAHA

you know, when i look at your profile pic at Jersey's "sweet" eyes . . . well . . . . they do have a little bit of a crazed look!

That last picture of "wait til she's carrying the soup" oh yeah. that's a cat. Anya runs at my feet all the time, especially when I"m going down the stairs. I never thought about it, but maybe SHE is trying to take me out! :-D

crazy cats!

   I love Jersey's plotting!! If we ever stop hearing from you, we can assume that she succeeded in framing you for a terrible crime and we'll send you letters in jail.

I'm glad she is doing so well! That 77 is very, very green!

I suspect all of our cats think it, but Jersey seems to communicate his intent with a great deal more acumen than either of my guys. I'm glad Jersey has yet to meet with success.

Nice update! Wonderfurl Jersey (pretty girl )is doing well :!: Plotting your demise :?:
