We haven’t seen a yellow or blue in a couple cycles :arghh: Not sure what Cosmo has planned - is he having a long bounce, winding up for a blue drop, or developing resistance to the 3.25 dose? He is a mystery

Otherwise, he is doing really well! Eating, drinking, peeing, pooping, purring, etc. :) Only thing we have noticed in the last few weeks (since starting MD) is that he is sneezing a couple times a day and a little stuffy...we have also had to put the dehumidifier on. Not sure if it’s a factor?

My work schedule is a little wonky the next couple days, but I will update as I can :bighug:

Cycle six tonight after his last blues. Maybe a bounce breaker? If not, tomorrow is day 7 of this dose and looks like he'll need an increase.

Have you you put the furnace on yet? Sometimes that causes a little dust.

I was going to ask about the dose increase. He had one nadir at 148 - 6 cycles ago as you mention. He is getting up there in dose...

I am doing an overnight shift on Tuesday (ughhh:(), so Wednesday when I am home might be better for his increase.

No furnace yet....I almost turned on the electric fireplace this morning though ;)

Not surprising given the high carb food. Stayed up with one caregiver who switched all the cats in the house from dry to wet (thought diabetic cat couldn't get to it, but he could), cat went from 5.5 units to remission in a couple very scary days. Lots of stories of dry food kitties needing a lot less insulin when going to low carb. You will just have to give more insulin to work around the food he needs.

I wish we could go the low carb wet only route...I wonder how much gastro fiber response dry he needs to still be consistent?

He was, for a long time (between 4 and 13 yrs old), eating low carb wet only with very minimal issues. sigh...feeling a little defeated today :(

I'm sorry you're feeling defeated today.:bighug:
Cosmo's needs are so complex, having to eat carbs for his megacolon while being diabetic.:( He seems to be responding well to the food changes you've made thus far. Maybe you just haven't found the right dose yet to counterbalance the carbs he needs to eat?
You're doing such a great job with him. He is lucky to have you for his mama. :bighug:

This makes sense especially if it makes you more comfortable. Unless DH is prepared to deal with potential lower numbers? :)
And I'll second that "ughhh" to overnight shifts. I never liked them much.
