No, he never does but he has had 3 abscesses in the past, I have felt around the area and nothing seems tender or no bumps so maybe not, who knows, I guess im trying to find something, I hate when I do that but sometimes those numbers tell something, ya know

No experience here with that - I thought it was a 'dog thing'??? Ugh, a trip or call to the vet may be in order...do you think you should try a dose increase first? Maybe he just needs a bit more juice to get back to the beach???

Agree on increase, I don’t feel anything back there and it would be sensitive like it was last time, so I will increase tonight

Also wondering if its cause I changed him to all ff, the raw is getting way to expensive, I mean when ur cats eat better than u do it's time to make a change lol
 
Unfortunately I'm no help. I've only recently discovered anal glands were a thing for cats, so I don't even know where to start. Ha, I guess I would know where to start, just not anything more than a general location, hahaha. :p Good luck with the doscrease. Hopefully he can get back down to the beach at least.

No, not me......I wish I could have learned to be comfortable with it to have saved my Sug from blow out holes around her anus multiple times ( sorry for the graphics)

There are videos on how to do it online for dogs and I would imagine for cats too.

I think what I would do is call the vet and with my vet office it would be an appointment with the vet tech to express the glands. I think I was charged 20 bucks or so for my dog, Ricky. Is Bella grooming that area a lot? That was one of the symptoms that made me look to see if there is a problem.

No no grooming and I pressed around the glands and feel nothing, he didnt even flinch, I think I'm possibly looking for something that isnt there cause of the rise in BG, probably just needs increase, I get in panic mode and by the end of day I've diagnosed bella with everything omg I have to stop it
He is acting just normal
 
I would think if there was a problem I would have felt something or he would have maybe flinched when I was pushing around there but he just laid there
 
When I used Lantus I had it over 5 months. I thought I read it's good to the last drop if you keep it in the fridge?

I know you're in Florida but it does seem quite a few people have commented that the BG went up recently with the season changing? Maybe just that time of the year?

Hope his #'s come down for you! I know how stressful it feels to see the high bg!:mad:
 
Vet appointment at 4:45 anal gland cleaned out
I dont know what else could be making him have higher BG
Again he is acting normal
