They have decided that today is TURN-AROUND TRIPLE THURSDAY! They are doing triples on everything! Kinda cool huh! I wonders if that means triple cheese and triple nip... or maybe just triple pies. I dunno.... anybody willing to order and see what you get? They say that since Wacky Wednesday was so wacky that they wants to give all kitties some fun times today, triple funs! so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Double shot Breve's, with beans from high in the Brazilian Mountains.... and for my mocha fans: a VENTI Quad Blueberry infused white mocha/mocha blend with white chocolate chips melted within, swirled with a raspberry puree, topped with a strawberry infused whip garnished with caramelized berry sprinkles and white chocolate curls and a caramel drizzle.......SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of 4 berry and vanilla and caramel swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with caramel and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! TJ's dunking cookies and Cronuts are complimentary!

I hope everyone had a great day yesterday. Ours was the best! Me and William and Nicholas had the best of times! We enjoyed another one of Nicholas's extra special BREFFIS!! We swam, we saw some trains, we napped. Well the boys napped, I didn't.  Pool was so fun. The trains were exciting for Nicholas. The weather there wasn't the best. I don't think we made it above 54 here yesterday - just dark and gloomy all day long, with lots of cold winds too. Not much sun - maybe saw a patch of blue around 4, but that's it. A few sprinkles here and there too. Here's what I wrote about yesterday in last night's post: "Hi everyone! I hope your day has been a good one. Nicholas, William and I had a great day, fun times. Our schedule was a little messed up today due to a needed late swim time for Nicholas, but we survived it well. The boys played TRUCKS in the morning, with Nicholas showing William how it is done.  It was so cool to watch Nicholas be a methodical with William as he was, and patient. Incredible! We made the pool ok, Nicholas survived the time adjustment, YAY! we totally survived today.  what a crazy one... It was a late swim time (11AM) for the little guy, I semi-worried about how up for it he would be, too tired or what. He did very well. He knew he was going later in the day, knew things would be different, and he dealt. What a relief that was. sheshhh... only one minor issue: water temp,as it was cooler than he expected. We worked around that. I showed him how to get used to it, and good to go. We had the big pool for the most part, then the lazy river after session break. Big Pool was alot of fun for him today, alot of swimming under water. We had a few times when he was doing this goofy vertical turn in circles thing he does, got tired, and I'll be damned if he didn't get his legs up and float on his back, on his own. That was freaking cool, we have a back floater, no assistance required. It's always been assisted before. Amazing/interesting too that he waited through the session break so he could be in the lazy river. I thought for sure that the cool room temp and the shivers, and the wait, and the fatigue would get him on that, but nope! He so had to swim the river. And have the big bucket dump on him. oh wow on it all... it was a good day in the pool. We spent some time before the pool at the Edmonds RR station, just to kill some time. Luck be with him, a freight train went through. I thought he'd come unglued: TRAINS! He was so stoked to show little bro the trains... What an amazing day.... and I am so tired....  " Picassa links: Trains RULE!, and SWIMMING!

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!   There are a few things about Lola that remind me of Mannie... Bug really is more like Mannie in his disposition, but Lola is the one that comes and meets and greets Nicholas and William when they arrive n the mornings. Lola is taken with Nicholas. She seeks him out, plays with him, tries to eat his breffis, plays with trucks and trains  , just puts up with all of Nicholas's wild chases through the house.  It is kinda nice to see. :-D  Lola was a good kitty yesterday, for the most part. She was into high things: walking the banister railing, sitting on the frig door, visiting me in the shower by sitting on top of the shower door. Normalcy for Lola, Normalcy for all the kitties. Bug and Elsa seem to have formed a "it's Fall" pack, and bed sleeping rules the roost for them. Except when it is marathon running time, then no holes barred!

Yesterday Nicholas and I were on the road to the pool after dropping William off at my DMIL, and he tells me "I miss Mannie, grammie!" ;-) Yes little man, me too! "See grammie - that is Mannie's vet over there. Mannie likes his vet." So we talked alot about Mannie while driving to the pool. I love those conversations, his remembrances of Mannie, as seen through a child's eye. He truly misses his friend, loves him even more, and knows that Mannie is OK, Mannie is happy. He winds up this conversation with " It's OK grammie. Mannie is very happy!". Yes Nicholas, that he is. You are one smart little boy.

Have a great day everyone! I will have both boys again today. I hope to be able to go to a river, or maybe a sandy beach here if the tides are low enough. We shall see what pans out. The weather is supposed to be warm and 75, and sunny. Gotta be outdoors for that! I will try and get to condos when I can.

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN!! cat_pet_icon

Wow on your day! Sounds like so much fun but I don't know how you didn't take a nap with the boys. I definitely would have.

The conversation with Nicholas brought a tear to my eye. How sweet that he still thinks of Mannie so much. They had an incredible bond. My DH always says that a child who grows up with animals and have that bond grow up to be wonderful adults with big hearts and thoughtfulness. Nicholas is a very special little boy and Mannie left a ton of paw prints on his heart that will always be there.

Have a great day Michelle!!

Morning Melissa ~O) ~O) ~O) I so kn ow on the naps... I really should! Just have never been much of a napper. I so agree on Nicholas and Mannie - I was taken back by the fact he knew the vet's office, saw it as we drove by, knew Mannie went there. I think too that your DH is right. They do grow up to be compassionate, thoughtful people. yupp, i think so too on those paw prints. he still remembers all that was Mannie. amazing for a two year old. and very special.

Re: 9/26LOOSE LIPS: another day in the pool... and TRAINS RU

Nicholas's thoughts and musings about Mannie probably help you heal your heart too. I know my granddaughter's comments about BigMac were a big part of helping me get through my grief. Nicholas is one special little guy. And you are an awesome grandmother! He is so lucky to have all these adventures with his grammie!

Nicholas will ♥always♥ remember Mannie. What an incredible little guy he is.

Re: 9/26LOOSE LIPS: another day in the pool... and TRAINS RU

Morning Michelle, stopping in to get my Elsa coffee fix and also I'll take two of those triple cheese pizzas the kitties are mixing up in your kitchen. :-D Rlsa, you are the best! Wow, I must say those waffles look better than any i have had at the local Coco's resturant my friend I sometimes have breffifs. Those berries look so yummy. Glad all is working out with the late swimming, and the Energizer fish is good to go with it. That is amazing with the floating just coming natural to him.
Glad all is well with Elsa, Bug and Lola makes me laugh with her acrobatics on top the shower bar and reffrigerator top.
Have a great day today with the nice weather. Our weather is even turning cooler, jackets in the morning and only 62 degrees.
Hugs and scritches to all.

Re: 9/26LOOSE LIPS: another day in the pool... and TRAINS RU

That is so neat the Nicholas knew where Mannie's vet was. It's great he still remembers so much and knows Mannie is happy. I love the way he was so patient teaching William how to play. Nicholas is such a sweet, kind-hearted boy.

Re: 9/26LOOSE LIPS: another day in the pool... and TRAINS RU

Hi Michelle,
Your day sounded like a ton of fun-- non-stop fun! Nicholas and Mannie had a very special relationship. Nicholas knows that Mannie is happy, and that must gladden your heart.

Have a good evening. Rusty wants you to know that the BMG played all of the old songs for the crowds at the Metropolitan Museum today.

Hugs to you, scritches to the kitties. Elsa's coffee saved my life this afternoon!

Re: 9/26LOOSE LIPS: another day in the pool... and TRAINS RU

Hi everyone! I hope your day has been a good one! Ours was just fantastic! The weather was wonderful: a sunny fall day, not one spec of rain, and we made maybe 55. I ended up taking the boys to the river, the weather there was perfect for a river trip. We ended up on the Snoqualmie today near the twin falls trailhead. I like that section of the river. it has the feel of remote, works really well for Nicholas, and there were spots for William too. No people there today, at least not where we were. so we did the normal things Nicholas likes to do, he was really into exploring today, telling his little bro what things were (some of the time) and for a while there I thought he'd haul him into the river. lol. it was fun for Nicholas - got to do all the fun stuff, wade into the river as much as he wanted, toss as much as he wanted. William fit right in. I had him on a sandy section for a while, sheshhh he was looking at everything. it was great, reminded me of Nicholas when he was that age. There is a RR museum in the town of Snoqualmie, so we stopped there on the way home. We've been there a few times before. Nicholas really likes it becasue he can get up close to the trains, touch then, explore their undersides, get the feel for them. It's a great place for little kids that love trains. He was so funny - told me as we were leaving that we had to have another lunch on the picnic table in the gazebo. He wanted William to be able to do that. too funny, and very sweet. It was a very nice day for the boys. We had a great time. I will post the Picassa links in tomorrows condo.

Hi CD! Thanks for the visit. Yes, they do. it is as good for me, as it is for Nicholas, to talk abut and remember Mannie. Hey -thanks on the rest. These two boys make it very easy. They have such good kind hearts. Plus - i love these adventures as much as the boys do! They are fun.

Hi Josie - and thank you! I think he will too. They had such a great bond. I think he's darn incredible too.

Hi Pam - Thanks! I think so too. I feel very lucky to be able to care for him during the day. Such a treat it all is.

Hi Ann - I so agree on those waffles! by the time he gets the berries on top, adds the side of bacon, puts a few dollops of butter on it. well dang! They are GOOD! THX too on the swimming. It has so far worked well, and I am grateful for that. We have about 3 more weeks of messed up scheduling with the pool, and then hopefully more set times for him. I so agree on the floating. He's seen kids do it, but this was the first time he just went and did it on his own. darn cool! THX too on the kitties - Lola always keeps me laughing too. oh wow on your weather! we are cooling alot too. Is was sunny today, but come tomorrow they say 5/6 days of solid rain. I will pass on the scrtiches! and the hugs!
Auntie Ann! I LUBS YOU! I gots your orders into paw Prints Pizza, and Lola and Bug will be by shortly to deliver. They are mega good today, triples on everything! ~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista

Hi Carla - THX, I thought so too. He remembered! I had pointed it out once before, sometime ago, and was very surprised that he remembered the place. kinda cool. THX too On Nicholas, and his wanting to teach William. He is so gentle and caring with him. It is akin to how he was with Mannie when Mannie got so sick. It was the same caring gentle touch. So so wonderful to see!

Hi Ella - THX - it as! Oh yes on Nicholas and Mannie. Every time he says that it really does make one feel good. I would not be surprised that Nicholas gets and sees things from Mannie, those signs that only Mannie can send. AWESOME on the BMG! Rusty, you and the guys so totally rock. Mannie is very proud. I will pass on the scritches! and the hugs!
Auntie Ella - YAY! I saved the day!! I am so glad!! You needs a refresher? I can be there pronto! ~ ~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista
